The Cost of Obamacare Subsidies Now Projected by CBO to Explode All Over Democrats’ Senate Chances

Have you noticed that “I helped pass Obamacare” isn’t a big talking point for Democrats in the fall Congressional elections?
Maybe it’s because those candidates have seen the results of this Congressional Budget Office report:

The subsidies are for Americans who bought the insurance through a government-run exchange – as opposed to directly from an insurer – and earn less than 400 percent of the poverty level. For a family of four, the income level at which the subsidy drops to zero is $94,200.
Yes, you read that correctly: a family of 4 earning $90,000 still gets help from other Americans to buy their health insurance.
An 8-fold increase in subsidy costs is certainly not how the program was sold to the American people. More from the CBO report:

Again, under the Affordable Health Care Act, costs were purported to decrease. But Medicaid spending is expected to nearly double by 2024.
Currently, 20% of Americans still think that health care costs will go down under the law, while the majority believe that the cost of health care will go up under the law. According to the Congressional Budget Office, they couldn’t be more correct.
It’s no wonder why politicians aren’t bragging about Obamacare this fall. This is how President Obama sold his signature healthcare legislation in 2009, rebutting critics who said “the numbers don’t add up”:

When it comes to facing voters now, it seems that Democrats have figured out that Obamacare adds up to T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
