(Raleigh-NC) Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is issuing the group's first endorsement of the 2012 election cycle. This endorsement goes to North Carolina Republican candidate Ilario Pantano due to his support for immigration enforcement and his opponent David Rouzer's support for Agjobs Amnesty for illegal aliens.
“ALIPAC is proud to endorse conservative Republican Ilario Pantano in the race for North Carolina’s 7th District. Pantano is the only candidate in the race for the 7th District that we know we can trust to stand firm against illegal immigration," said William Gheen President of ALIPAC. "Ilario is a true leader and someone we can count on in the fight against Amnesty for illegals. He’s the only candidate in the race committed to securing the border, enforcing and strengthening our immigration laws, punishing employers who knowingly employ illegal immigrants, and fighting Amnesty in all forms”
ALIPAC endorsed Ilario Pantano in his first run for Congress in 2010 because of his pledge to enforce America's existing border and immigration laws.
“Ilario’s primary opponent, David Rouzer, likes to talk a good game about securing the border and fighting illegal immigration, however his record shows that is not true." said William Gheen. "In reality, Rouzer has been a paid advocate for Amnesty for illegals working alongside such open border pro-Amnesty liberals as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Diane Feinstein. 80% of Americans agree that Rouzer is wrong on Amnesty and he’s wrong for the 7th District. A pro-Amnesty congressman like Rouzer is the last thing the 7th District needs.”
NC Senator David Rouzer faces Pantano in the GOP Primary for NC District 7.
In 2007, David Rouzer lobbied Washington lawmakers, on behalf of his client Mt Olive Pickle Co, to pass the AgJobs Amnesty bill for illegal aliens. This bill would have placed millions of illegal immigrants on a path to US Citizenship and voting rights. ALIPAC fought hard and successfully defeated Rouzer's 2007 Agjobs Amnesty legislation.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, found at www.ALIPAC.us is a national organization whose members are citizens of every race, party, and walk of life who are representative of the 80% of Americans who oppose illegal immigration and Amnesty, as evidenced by the most recent polls. Founded on 9/11/2004, ALIPAC has quickly grown to become the third largest national organization addressing these issues.
