(Raleigh-NC) Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC) is issuing the group's first endorsement of the 2012 election cycle. This endorsement goes to North Carolina Republican candidate Ilario Pantano due to his support for immigration enforcement and his opponent David Rouzer's support for Agjobs Amnesty for illegal aliens.
“ALIPAC is proud to endorse conservative Republican Ilario Pantano in the race for North Carolina’s 7th District. Pantano is the only candidate in the race for the 7th District that we know we can trust to stand firm against illegal immigration," said William Gheen President of ALIPAC. "Ilario is a true leader and someone we can count on in the fight against Amnesty for illegals. He’s the only candidate in the race committed to securing the border, enforcing and strengthening our immigration laws, punishing employers who knowingly employ illegal immigrants, and fighting Amnesty in all forms”
ALIPAC endorsed Ilario Pantano in his first run for Congress in 2010 because of his pledge to enforce America's existing border and immigration laws.
“Ilario’s primary opponent, David Rouzer, likes to talk a good game about securing the border and fighting illegal immigration, however his record shows that is not true." said William Gheen. "In reality, Rouzer has been a paid advocate for Amnesty for illegals working alongside such open border pro-Amnesty liberals as Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Diane Feinstein. 80% of Americans agree that Rouzer is wrong on Amnesty and he’s wrong for the 7th District. A pro-Amnesty congressman like Rouzer is the last thing the 7th District needs.”
NC Senator David Rouzer faces Pantano in the GOP Primary for NC District 7.
In 2007, David Rouzer lobbied Washington lawmakers, on behalf of his client Mt Olive Pickle Co, to pass the AgJobs Amnesty bill for illegal aliens. This bill would have placed millions of illegal immigrants on a path to US Citizenship and voting rights. ALIPAC fought hard and successfully defeated Rouzer's 2007 Agjobs Amnesty legislation.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, found at www.ALIPAC.us is a national organization whose members are citizens of every race, party, and walk of life who are representative of the 80% of Americans who oppose illegal immigration and Amnesty, as evidenced by the most recent polls. Founded on 9/11/2004, ALIPAC has quickly grown to become the third largest national organization addressing these issues.

POLITICO: Ilario Pantano, 2010 GOP Nominee, Has 2-to-1 Lead Over Lobbyist David Rouzer Five Weeks Before Early Voting
The March 7-9 Poll of 755 Respondents, Taken By Independent Polling Firm Wenzel Strategies, Shows Pantano With a Huge Lead in All Categories -- Especially Among Conservative and Tea Party VotersWilmington, NC: A new poll conducted by independent polling firm Wenzel Strategies on behalf of Citizens United shows author, business man, and Marine veteran of two wars Ilario Pantano with a 47-23 percent lead over Rouzer.
Pantano is particularly strong among conservative voters, said the pollster, Fritz Wenzel: “The more conservative the likely voter, the more likely they were to hold a favorable opinion of Pantano.”
“Ilario Pantano is a constitutional conservative who will help break the failed status quo of Washington politics,” David N. Bossie, President of the conservative think tank Citizens United told the Wilmington Star News.
Bossie noted, ““Ilario Pantano is closing in on a majority of the Republican Primary vote, with early voting set to start in nearly a month.”
Ilario Pantano acknowledged: “The poll again shows what we know to be true: that the more the voters in the 7th district of North Carolina get to know all the candidates in this race, the more they see me as the true conservative who will fight for them in Washington. Jill and I are so blessed by the outpouring of support we’ve received from every corner of the district.”
The latest poll is the third to show Pantano’s 2-to-1 lead over Sen. Rouzer, who has spent $100,000 since he announced 9 months ago.

PANTANO TO CHALLENGE MEXICAN CONSUL GENERAL DURING 3/28 NC IMMIGRATION HEARING.
Pantano Invites all Candidates to Join Him in Speaking Out Against the Robbery of Billions of U.S. Tax Dollars by Illegal Aliens Aided by the Mexican Government.
Wilmington, NC: Conservative Republican Congressional Candidate Ilario Pantano -- an author, businessman and veteran -- will challenge the Consular General of Mexico during Pantano’s remarks to the NC General Assembly Immigration Hearing on March 28 at 1pm. This hearing is the fourth to examine the costs of illegal immigration to the State of North Carolina and is the first one that will be open to public comment. Ilario Pantano is the only candidate in North Carolina for either state or federal office that has attended all three previous immigration hearings.
Pantano, the 2010 GOP Nominee for the 7th Congressional district, as well as the son of a legal immigrant to the United States, a Marine veteran of two wars, and a former NC deputy sheriff, offered the following invitation to ALL candidates seeking state or federal offices in North Carolina:
“My fellow candidates and citizens, your country is being robbed and YOU have a duty to stop it. $2 Billion dollars are being stolen from North Carolina alone each year. It is time that we demand that our legislators and our federal representatives take action.”
Pantano continued, “I have witnessed the bogus events run by the Mexican Conuslate on American soil. I have watched illegals flaunt the laws in the very chambers of our state legislature in Raleigh and I have served as a deputy in a jail where your tax dollars paid to play Spanish language television daily. I say Enough is Enough.” Pantano Continued, “It is time that American citizens let their voices be heard. From the classroom to the emergency room to the court room, American tax payers are shouldering an unnecessary and costly burden. Will you continue to sit silently or will you act?”
Pantano concluded, “ Please join me as I address illegal immigration’s National Security burden through its impact on our Security, Education, Debt, Unemployment, and Healthcare. Join me if you want to protect America.”
