Breitbart News Reporting Ben Carson Supports Amnesty for illegals

An article we originally missed from Breitbart News this past June 18 is reporting that Presidential candidate Ben Carson is now officially supporting amnesty for illegal aliens just like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio.

We released the article on ALIPAC's social media pages tonight and found large volumes of our supporters did not know about this article or Carson's stance in favor of granting citizenship and voting rights for illegals.

Please take the following steps. Please access this article, read it, comment on it and circulate it far and wide by emails and social media! Ben Carson's numbers are rising in the GOP primary only because people do not have this information.

Very sorry to have to deliver this news as we know many conservatives had high hopes for Ben Carson!

    Oooops, I apologize,
thought that was commonly known. NO, America does not need Ben Carson anywhere but handling surgery.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

If word about this Breitbart article and Ben Carson's support for amnesty gets to enough people his numbers will be down on the bottom next to Lindsey Graham.

    Ben Carson on Immigration

    TAGS: 2016 POTUS
Carson in his books has staked out a hard line on immigration, calling for the border to be secured and strict interior enforcement measures. Carson has opposed illegal immigration and called for a system to ensure only legal immigrants are hired. However in some of his rhetoric, Carson has also recently championed a national guest-worker program as a way for immigrants to be granted citizenship and back in 2013 favored a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants. Previously regarding the proposed national guest-worker program Carson said that illegals would have to return to their home country but in July Carson amended his proposal to allow for illegals to remain in country as guest workers as long as they pay taxes. This proposal is very similar to the failed Gang of 8 amnesty bill and until the border is secured incentivizes illegal immigration. Carson like all the other GOP candidates wants the border secure, but Carson's support for creation of a new guest-worker program comprised of illegal immigrants is amnesty but by another name.

    • When asked about a pathway to citizenship for the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in 2013, Carson said, “of course allow [illegal immigrants] to have a pathway to citizenship. That’s the only humane and reasonable thing to do.” (Daily Caller)
    • In a June 2014 column, Carson blasted the President for creating a manufactured crisis on the southern border when he declared certain illegal immigrants would not be deported in 2012, calling the recent influx of unaccompanied illegal minors entering the U.S. a “humanitarian crisis that appears to have been manufactured for political reasons.” (The Desert Sun)
    • Carson says that immigration reform should start by ending incentives for illegal immigrants, citing open borders, lax deportation enforcement, and easy access to education, health care, and welfare programs. (Ben Carson, America the Beautiful, 78-79)
    • Carson supports a national guest-worker program, similar to what Canada has: “Noncitizens would have to apply for a guest-worker permit and have a guaranteed job awaiting them. Taxes would be paid at a rate commensurate with other U.S. workers, and special visas would allow for easy entry and egress across borders. Guest-worker status would be granted to individuals and not to groups.” In the same chapter, he goes on to make somewhat contradictory statements regarding the legal status of guest-worker applicants: “People already here illegally could apply for guest-worker status from outside of the country, meaning they would have to leave first. They should in no way be rewarded for having broken our laws, but if they are wise, they would arrange with their employer before they leave to immediately offer them a legal job as soon as their application is received. When they return, they still would not be U.S. citizens, but they would be legal, and they would be paying taxes. Only jobs that are vacant as a result of a lack of interest by American citizens should be eligible for the guest-worker program.” (Ben Carson, America the Beautiful, 78-79) (National Review)
    • In July, Carson update his comments on his proposed national guest worker program saying that current illegals in the country would not have to leave but rather remain in country and register as guest workers and pay taxes. A provision very similar to the failed Gang of 8 legislation. "What I would do is allow them to become guest workers. If they register, and they get involved in a back tax program and taxes going forward." (Breitbart)
    • Carson holds employers who hire illegal immigrants responsible, and believes they “should receive swift, severe and consistent punishment that constitutes a real deterrent and not a mere inconvenience.” (Ben Carson, America the Beautiful, 78-79)
    • Carson believes that D.C. is not listening to the American people about securing the border.
The overwhelming majority of Americans want the southern borders of our country secured and our immigration laws enforced, but several administrations recently have been unwilling to get tough on this issue because they do not want to alienate a large voting block of Latinos.” (ibid, 39)
    • Carson told the audience, at a Phoenix rally, "I know the 14th Amendment has been brought up recently, about anchor babies—and it doesn’t make any sense to me that people could come in here, have a baby and that baby becomes an American citizen. There are many countries in the world where they simply have recognized that and don’t allow that to occur." (Breitbart)

Ben Carson has been a confirmed amnesty supporter since 2013. He has never came off that position. I'm surprised that some folks are acting like this is a recent revelation.

Currently, to my knowledge, there are only four candidates that profess to not support an amnesty. Those candidates are Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Scott Walker, and Donald Trump.

Unfortunately, Ted Cruz, while not supporting amnesty, does support the tripling of legal immigration.

    Thanks for the info MW.

The reason I am surprised at this information is that Ive never seen his position in print before despite the massive amount of data that is collected here at ALIPAC.us

Im fairly certain Drudge did not pick this one up and I was on a brief vacation back on June 18.

I had seen Carson on the Oreilly show say something like this but that is it. The fact that out of the blue as a political nobody they had Ben Carson on a show at Fox told me he would be for amnesty, then his mouth opened and confirmed my suspicions. Only pro amnesty Republicans are allowed on Fox.

But this info is not widespread and the reaction here and on social media proves that.

I believe that Trump, Cruz, Jindal and Santorum are the only candidates who are true anti-illegal immigration candidates. All the others have sponsors, donors and others who benefit from cheap labor. Carson will still make a good Surgeon General.

Bobby Jindal supports the legalization of illegals and an eventual citizenship. Scott Walker does not support amnesty.

Here’s how Jindal laid out his views on immigration in 2013 in a detailed op-ed in the National Review:
Once the border is secure, and not before, we should provide an opportunity for those who came here illegally seeking to work for a better life to gain legal status rather quickly, if and only if they are willing to do all that is required. We should deport immediately those who engage in criminal activity. We should bar those seeking public assistance from receiving welfare or unemployment benefits for a substantial period of time. After fulfilling other logical and reasonable requirements, we should offer legal status to those currently here illegally so they can work and pay taxes via a guest-worker visa.

As for a pathway to citizenship: For folks who came here illegally but are willing to gain proficiency in English, pay a fine, and demonstrate a willingness to assimilate, we should require them to work here and pay taxes for a substantial period of time after obtaining legal status before they have the opportunity to begin the process of applying for U.S. citizenship.
