There are something like 75-80 million AK-47's and cheap knockoffs circulating around Asia and Africa. Not sure which percentage is in military control, but an awful lot of them have worked their way into the hands of private owners, militias, radical groups, crazy people, you name it. And factories over there keep turning them out---because the people apparently have nothing better to do for employment.

So, over there, if Christians and other small minorities don't submit to the oppressive governments they could be beheaded, hung---or just shot by someone with an AK-47. I used to hear figures of well over 100,000 murders around the world for religious reasons, and that was well before Muslim radicals popped into the headlines.

There are some really good reasons why we need to preserve the Second Amendment.
