Americans Oppose Obama's Executive Amnesty By 10 Points
Americans Oppose Obama's Executive Amnesty By 10 Points
Conn Carroll | Nov 19, 2014
Almost half of Americans, 48 percent, disapprove of President Obama's decision to grant executive amnesty to an unknown number of illegal immigrants, according to a new NBC News poll, while just 38 percent support the idea.
The full poll will not be released until tonight, and Obama will not announce the specifics of his amnesty plan tomorrow, but NBC News has shared the wording of their executive action question with Townhall:
There are a number of problems with this question:
1) Obama will not be signing an "executive order" tomorrow. Not all executive actions are "executive orders." For example, Obama's first executive amnesty program, the 2012 Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, was not done by "executive order."
2. That first sentence completely primes the respondent into thinking Obama's executive action is perfectly normal. After all, the question asserts as fact that "a president ... can put some regulations into effect that do not require Congressional approval." No mention is made of whether the presidential action is actually supported by Congressional statute. And Obama's executive amnesty is absolutely not supported by statute. Obama is citing his executive "prosecutorial discretion" power as the legal basis for this amnesty. Congress has never empowered the president to unilaterally choose which groups of illegal immigrants he will enforce the law on, and which groups he will give amnesty to.
3. Since Obama's executive action is based on inherent presidential power and not Congressional statute, there is no law Congress could pass "to take its place."
Here is how a question on Obama's immigration action should be worded:
"President Obama has unilaterally created a new executive immigration program without any input from Congress. The program gives work permits and Social Security numbers to many illegal immigrants and requires most states to give them driver's licenses too. Do you support or oppose this new program?"
That would be a fair question. Hopefully other news organizations will hit closer to the truth.

I am barely computer literate, but I seems to me Mark (The Smart Ass Punk) Zuckerburger and his pukes can be fought against when he inevitably tries to disrupt communication between patriots on his gossip empire (facebook). Why can't patriots all speak with one voice. Why can't the millions who use Crapbook flood it with the same message within the same time frame? It seems to me that he can not shut down half of Facebook's traffic at one time. Or am I wrong? Why can't conservatives coordinate their timeframe for posting and use the same basic message? All of them. Perhaps this has been attempted, but I am not aware there has ever been a giant coordinated effort to dominate the traffic on Facebook when important things like Obama's illegal amnesty happens.
Certainly now would be a good time to do it.

One of the wonderful things about being a dictator is that you don’t have to be bothered with self-restraint; for the most part you just do whatever you please with impunity. There was a time earlier in the Obama nightmare when he was burdened by restraint, but not anymore. He’s freed himself from the shackles of representative government by choosing to simply ignore our laws and our Constitution.
He’s made the argument in a very persuasive and constitutionally sound manner many times, as to why it is illegal for him to do what he is planning to do, legislating from the executive branch. He seems to have a renewed interpretation of where his decrees stand versus the Constitution and the rule of law which now places him above them. That’s great for Obama but it’s a really bad thing for the American people and the survival of our country’s representative government by the people.
Obama turns and faces one heckler in a crowd who is demanding immediate amnesty for all 11.5 million illegals, saying that Obama has the power to grant amnesty. Obama responds to him saying, “Actually I don’t, and that’s why we’re here.”
He notes in one online session that he is the “president” of the United States and not the emperor, a position which he seems to have reevaluated. He also mentions to the same audience in which he was heckled that if he could solve all of these problems without passing laws in Congress, he would do so and adds, “But we’re also a nation of laws, that’s part of our tradition.” He says, “The easy way out is to try to yell and pretend like I can do something by violating our laws.
The video cuts back to his Telemundo interview in which he says, “But if we start broadening that, essentially I would be ignoring the law, in a way that I think would be very difficult to defend legally, so that’s not an option.”
The video closes with Obama addressing that same crowd, saying, “It is going to require work; it is not a simple matter of us just saying we’re going to violate the law. That’s not our tradition.”
Our new tradition under Hussein Obama is one of unbridled dictatorial power and blatant illegality. He has proven on numerous occasions to know that the actions he is about to take violate his oath and the separation of powers. He chooses to no longer be restricted by words or pieces of paper.
He’s moving “forward,” knowing that a challenge to his lawlessness is going to be messy and time consuming. It will be ripe for political manipulation by his socialist government and party every step of the way. The chaos created will be crafted into a divisive Democrat political opportunity.
He will also attempt to draw things out to a point that the political consequences and practicality of undoing the damage he has done will be too great. The change that he sought to impose will have been accomplished in spite of the illegal nature of his actions. He’s following the same model used in obamacare, to ingrain it into the fabric of our society to the point that regardless of the efficacy of legal challenges to come, the stain is impossible to remove.
He’s a socialist intent on the destruction of the United States. How he achieves that goal is immaterial. The end justifies the means.
