Alert! Keep calling your Senators about the amnesty bill!


The Senate will reconvene next week and resume floor debate on S 1348, the disastrous "comprehensive" immigration bill. Floor votes to remove the amnesty provisions and guestworker provisions garnered significant support but did not pass.

CAPS has read a number of evaluations of the Senate immigration bill and we believe the Heritage Foundation report (link below) is the most comprehensive and accurate. We feel sure you will find this information of interest as the discussion evolves in the next few weeks and months. The report details the effects of the Z-visa amnesty:

The bill grants amnesty to virtually all of the 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens in the country today.
It would be extremely difficult to identify criminals and terrorists in the background checks.
Even gang members would be eligible to receive amnesty.
You may want to review the report for additional "talking points" when calling your Senators.
