Over the past several years, the U.S. has seen a large influx of immigrants, both legal and illegal, from countries whose values are opposed to the rights guaranteed by the U.S. constitution. Specifically, there are large numbers of immigrants coming from countries that are misogynistic. These societies accord women little to no rights, and the idea of violence committed by men against women and children is not unusual.

First, take the concept of ‘rapto.’ This comes from Mexico where in some areas, it is socially acceptable for a man of any age to abduct a female of any age as long as long as he intends to marry her. That is right. Men can kidnap and rape females. This is acceptable in Oaxaca where the government continues to view rapto as a minor crime. One legislator even referred to this horrid violation as “romantic.â€

I don't want this kind of scum in my country!

Yes, and if I'm not mistaken, illegals here who have been arrested and are in the midst of being processed for such crimes will fall through a giant loophole in this lovely CIR bill that the Senate is trying to ram down our throats. I'm pretty sure all will be forgiven. You might want to research that fact here and add it to your letter. Just a thought.

I've sent several articles to my representatives about these brutal crimes. They seem to think they're some sort of anomaly. I always emphasize that one of these crimes is one too many, and had these criminals not entered our country, the victims would likely still be alive. I believe our government is liable for every single one.

In my opinion, one of the most horrendous crimes committed by an illegal was against Mary Nagle of NY. She was a Volvo marketing executive raped, beaten and strangled by a Guatemalan laborer hired by a local company that had been doing home repairs for the Nagle family for years. This illegal had been hired by the owner on the recommendation of another employee. Noone had bothered to check his background. Had they done so, they would've found he had overstayed a visa and had been charged with sexual assault in the US previously. All of these stories are heartbreaking, but this crime in particular, in all its horrifying detail, illustrates so vividly the indifference of our government regarding who enters/remains in the US illegally.
