Which Marco Rubio Would Show-Up For Inauguration Day?

Rubio Announces for President: Which Marco Rubio Would Show-Up For Inauguration Day?

On Monday Florida Senator Marco Rubio announced his campaign for President at a rally in Miami. Although somewhat overshadowed Hillary Clinton’s Sunday announcement, which was understandable given the establishment media’s blind and almost universal support for Mrs. Clinton, Rubio got generally good reviews for his speech, his family’s story and the non-verbal communication of the setting at Miami’s Freedom Tower, an iconic location for many immigrants who fled Castro’s murderous regime.

What we saw on Monday was the Marco Rubio of two years ago, who sat atop many early 2016 Republican presidential polls and who, by the way, regularly rated #1 or #2 in the CHQ 2016 presidential straw poll.

We will refer to that Marco Rubio as the “pre-Gang of Eight” Marco Rubio.
Then there is the “after the Gang of Eight” Marco Rubio, who is the one that is actually running for President.

This is the Marco Rubio who betrayed the Tea Party movement and grassroots conservative voters who elevated him to the Senate over establishment Republican, turned Independent, and finally turned Democrat Charlie Crist.

This is the Marco Rubio who became the chief spokesman and advocate for a bill that would have put millions of illegal aliens on the path to citizenship to eventually become part of a new Democratic-majority electorate.

This is the Marco Rubio who prompted Florida conservative commentator Javier Manjarres of the Shark Tank and Hispolitica to observe, “What most people don’t know about Rubio is that he has always supported a pathway to citizenship.”

This is the Marco Rubio who helped craft a bill that gave millions of dollars in taxpayer money to anti-conservative race-based organizations, such as La Raza, to help them promote amnesty for illegal aliens.

This is the Marco Rubio who, judging by the “who do you walk with rule,” which is CHQ Richard Viguerie’s foolproof test of whether or not a candidate is a conservative, is definitely no conservative, having staffed his office with anti-conservatives, such as Communications Director Alex Burgos, a longtime amnesty proponent, and other establishment Republican insiders, rather than the boat-rocking Tea Partiers that provided the manpower for Rubio’s upstart campaign against Governor Charlie Crist.

And this is the Marco Rubio who used the language of the Left in a slash and burn campaign against conservatives. As RedState’s Erick Erickson put it, Rubio was an active participant in the attacks on conservative opponents of the “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill as “racists, slavery supporters, bigots, haters, baby killers, un-Christian, etc. They are waging a coordinated attack between Senator Rubio’s office and others against conservative stalwarts like the Heritage Foundation and Jim DeMint.”

The “they” to whom Erickson refers was an unholy alliance of establishment Republicans, business interests and New York Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer, Illinois Democratic Senator Richard Durbin and a host of other left-leaning political operatives and interest groups.

The vitriolic attacks on conservatives by Rubio and his staff were straight out of the Republican establishment’s playbook on how to alienate the GOP base and prompted CHQ Chairman Richard A. Viguerie to remark at the time, “What bothers us is that he has gone from simply disagreeing with his friends to attacking them, using the same tactics and language the left uses when it attacks conservatives.”

The Marco Rubio who announced for President on Monday is an attractive candidate, whose critique of Hillary Clinton and her responsibility for the dangerous chaos Obama has loosed on the world and especially the Middle East was spot on.

However, our concern is not with the Marco Rubio who announced on Monday, our concern is with which Marco Rubio is going to show-up on Inauguration day if he were to win the presidency. Would it be the “pre-Gang of Eight bill” Marco Rubio we saw yesterday, or would it be the “after the Gang of Eight” Marco Rubio, who has spent much of the last two years scorching conservatives and advocating a bill intended to destroy the American exceptionalism Rubio claimed he has launched his campaign to restore?

Oh no, Marco Rubio is against trade relations with Cuba, he's against a nuclear arms agreement with Iran. He has no idea what he's doing on the international scene. We need to open relations with Cuba, this is long over-due. Cuba is 90 miles from our shores, this small country starves because it's trade is banned from the United States, this is cruel and stupid, and the only reason this has continued all these years is because of Rubios, Cubans who came here after Castro took over, and they and their descendants have lobbied to prevent improved relations with Cuba, out of revenge. This is so wrong. And the same is true with Iran, we have no quarrel with Iran, Iranians are Persian, who actually like Americans, and the world will be safer with better ties between our country and Iran, the same as it will be with Cuba. Our enemies are not these nation states, they are the fruit-cake rogues who have already set up operations 8 miles from New Mexico and I'm sure already have tens of thousands of their cohorts already in the US as DREAMers ready to do whatever they want to do.

The US government for the past 20 years, both parties, all Presidents, all Congresses, have completely betrayed the national security of the people of the United States, with their heads up the butts of illegal aliens and excess immigrants and "refugees" lining their pockets supporting the cartels behind this disaster.

Today, all we can do is stop it all with a Moratorium on Immigration, deport every illegal alien, and wait to clean up the mess that is inevitable at this point.
