They should not even be talking about any visa programs until the borders are completely closed and until this immigration issue and the matter of the 12 million are solved. Attrition through enforcement. period.
If they need pickers give them a temporary work card with the understanding that if they do not go back to Mexico when the Job is done they will be commiting a felony and will go to jail and never be allowed into this country legally again. Do not allow them to move into other types of work.

71 percent answered that "they would participate in a program that would allow them to work in the United States and cross the border legally on the condition that they eventually return to Mexico.
I'm with William on this. Of course they would participate in such a program because it would legitimize them. They are ready to agree to anything that will prevent their immediate deportation. The first step of the pro-illegal immigrant lobby and the illegals is to get them legalized by whatever avenue necessary (no more fear of deportation and so-called torn families), but don't think for a minute the illegals and their "friends" won't continue lobbying for an eventual path to citizenship. In other words, a 5 year temporary stay of execution gives them more time to continue the fight. During those five years it is very possible that the political environment will change and become more favorable for a path to legalization.

Ask yourself these questions: How many friends do you think the illegal immigrant lobby can put into political office throughout our country in the next five years? How many anchor babies will reach the required age to petition the government for legal status of their family members? Better yet, how many more anchor babies will be delivered in our hospitals? How much will La Raza, LULUC, MALDEF, MECHA, and similar organizations grow over the next 5 years? How far along with the NAU advance in the next 5 years (we'll become more integrated with Mexico)? How many more Mexican consulates will be built in the United States? I could go on and on, but I think you get my point - the enemy will not give up in their quest to erase our borders to Mexican nationals!

We need to nip this in the bud here and now! No temporary guest program until our borders are secured and a heavy majority of the illegals currently residing within our borders have left or been deported. No illegal in our country should receive anything but a one-way ticket back to their homeland. Let's send a message to the world and corporate America - we will not tolerate illegal border crossers or employers that hire them!

As long as they can have anchor babies to keep them here it will never work.
