Guns To Mexico: Once again blaming his own country for Mexico's gun violence without mentioning Fast and Furious, the gun runner in chief pledges to find and jail gun smugglers. Perhaps he should start with his own administration.

'We recognize that most of the guns used to commit violence here in Mexico come from the United States. ... We'll keep increasing the pressure on the gun traffickers who bring illegal guns into Mexico, and we'll keep putting these criminals where they belong — behind bars," President Obama told students assembled at the Anthropology Museum in Mexico City on Friday, repeating a big lie he's said before.

Obama did not mention Fast and Furious, the administration's gunrunning operation into Mexico, which started in the fall of 2009 and ended in December 2010 only after Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was murdered in Arizona with one of the weapons we provided to the Mexican drug cartels.

Immigration Customs Enforcement Agent Jaime Zapata was also killed by Fast and Furious weapons, as have been hundreds of Mexican nationals.

The alleged purpose of the program was to track the guns along their path into Mexico and arrest the dealers, straw buyers and drug cartel members involved.

But testimony by ATF agents that they were ordered not to interdict the flow or make arrests exposed that rationale as a fraud.

We and others have suggested the purpose was to let the guns walk, let violence caused by this weapons spiral out of control, then exploit the carnage and violence to advance the president's gun control agenda, just as the president tried to do Friday by repeating his big lie.

Here's what House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa told the NRA's mid-April national convention in St. Louis in April 2012:

"Could it be that what they really were thinking of was, in fact, to use this — this walking of guns — in order to promote an assault-weapons ban? Many think so, and they haven't come up with an explanation that would cause any of us not to agree."

On April 16, 2009, just eight months before Terry's murder, Obama said during a visit to Mexico:

"This (Mexican drug) war is being waged with guns purchased not here, but in the United States. More than 90% of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that line our shared border."

The 90% number is an old and miscalculated figure that long ago was debunked by William La Jeunesse of Fox News. Mexican authorities would only send guns to America for tracing that they had reason to believe originated here.

Weapons known to have originated in foreign countries were not sent to the U.S. for tracing.

Nor were weapons found to have originated from deserters from the Mexican army or stolen from government armories.

In 2007-08, according to the Mexican government, 29,000 guns were recovered at crime scenes.

According to ATF Special Agent William Newell, Mexico submitted 11,000 guns to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for tracing. Close to 6,000 were successfully traced, and of those, 90% — 5,114 to be exact, according to testimony in Congress by William Hoover, assistant director for field operations of the ATF — were found to have come from the U.S.

That's the percentage that gets endlessly repeated.

In those same two years, in other words, 68% of the guns that were recovered were never submitted for tracing.

And when you weed out the roughly 6,000 guns that could not be traced from the remaining 32%, it means 83% of the guns found at crime scenes in Mexico could not be traced to America. Only 17% could.

Today, the number would be inflated by the guns walked by the Obama administration into Mexico under the disastrous Fast and Furious program.

But don't expect Obama to tell either the Mexican or American people that. Far more convenient to recycle a false statistic that will only damage our relations with our neighbor, and mislead Americans about the sources of gun crime.

Send Obama-Biden-Bloomberg Real Gun Facts New Study Shows True Gun Violence Numbers Newly-released data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) proves that more guns in private hands do not lead to more murders, and a Pew Research study showing widespread ignorance of this fact suggests that the public has been misled. The BJS data covers 1993 to 2011 and suggests that for almost 20 years, the gun prohibition lobby has been consistently wrong about private gun ownership and its correlation to crime. The Pew report suggests that the public has been essentially hoodwinked into believing otherwise. The three headed gun control monster made up of Obama, Biden, and Bloomberg never seem to look at the facts. We feel it is time to educate them on the truth which is why we ALL must send them the facts of this study. The more people that know the truth, the longer our Second Amendment Rights will be protected. An Associated Press report about the Pew Research revelation suggested that "intense publicity generated by recent mass shootings" may help to skew the public perception about gun-related violent crime. The release of these reports blows holes in the gun prohibition agenda. If violent crime had gone upward, gun grabbers would exploit the fact as proof that more guns in private hands lead to more violent crime. However, if the gun rights community argued that the BJS data proves increased gun ownership leads to lower violent crime rates, the dominant liberal media would savage the notion. Of course, this is the same anti-gun press that has sensationalized crimes while remaining silent about the actual crime data. The BJS data shows that gun-related homicides declined by 39 percent from 1993 to 2011, and the Pew Research Center found that gun-related homicides fell from 7 per 100,000 in 1993 to 3.6 per 100,000 in 2010, a decline of 49 percent. The declining percentages go in the same direction. Firearms-related homicides have plummeted dramatically while more Americans bought more guns, including millions of semi-automatic modern sporting rifles. More people are licensed to carry in more states, and crime is down. It is time for the gun control crowd to acknowledge they have been consistently and undeniably wrong, and admit that their agenda has never been about crime, but about public disarmament. • Feinstein 'Assault Weapons Ban' attacking hundreds of our semi-automatic guns used for self-defense, hunting, and sport.
• Magazine capacity limitations limiting them anywhere from 7 to 15 rounds.
• Surrender your 'assault weapon', render it unoperable, or face a felony charge.
• 5 cent bullet tax for every bullet purchased.
• Additional tax of $25 for every firearm purchase.
• Ammo purchasers would have to wait 3 days to pick up ammo unless they complete an anger management course.
• Allow doctors to ask you about guns in your home.

Lawmakers are proposing anything and everything to get rid of our guns. We need to let them know this is not going to happen.

The Obama Administration has made it very clear that the gun control battle has not even gotten warmed up yet. Biden, Bloomberg, and Obama are gearing up to brainwash the American people into wanting more gun control rather than looking at the facts.

After the Senate defeat of the gun control bill in April, Bloomberg said, "It would be a great tragedy if the momentum for gun control generated after the Newtown mass shooting withered."

These anti-gunners do not care about our Second Amendment and they do not care about the victims at Newtown or any other tragic shooting. They do not want law-abiding citizens to have firearms in the U.S.

"All in all, this was a pretty shameful day for Washington...Sooner or later we are going to get this right." -Obama's reaction to the Senate defeat.

Biden's reaction after the Senate defeated the gun control bill in April, "Let me say this as clearly as I can: this is just the beginning..."That doesn't mean this is the end of the process. This is the beginning of the process."

This trio of anti-gunners is prepared to take away guns from law-abiding citizens and we must do everything in our power to stop them. We must let our Senators know that we will not stand for additional federal gun control.

We may very well hold the leverage with the U.S. Senate because of the huge percentage of Americans who are gun owners. They do not want their information to be on record.

Gun owners are the ones that vote these Senators into office. In 2014 there will be one of the most important elections in recent history; not for President, but the Republicans may be able to take control of the Senate giving them control in both the Senate and House of Representatives. This is exactly what Obama and his radical anti-gun cronies do not want in his last term.

Currently there are Senate democrats holding seats in rural states, states that favor guns and our Second Amendment. These Senators do not want a list of gun control votes on their record before their 2014 re-elections. If they reject all gun control proposals we win, if they vote yes to all of these anti-gun bills we will publicly display their record and not vote them back into office...their choice.
