Polls say Carly Fiorina is finished

Just one month after Carly Fiorina appeared to have all the momentum in the 2016 race for the republican nomination for President, a series of scandals and false statements have sent her campaign hurtling in the other direction. Fiorina had suddenly risen from nearly zero in the polls to climb into the fifteen to twenty percent range in a short period of time. But that led to increased scrutiny of her words and her past, and suddenly she’s so scarred that multiple new national polls say she’s essentially finished.

Fiorina endeared herself to social conservatives by attacking Planned Parenthood, but she kept referencing a particular video which didn’t exist. When called on it by the media, her campaign released a poorly edited video cut from other footage which she claimed was the video in question. She touted her record at Hewlett Packard as the basis for her readiness to run the Executive Branch of the government, but various corners of the tech industry quickly confirmed that she was one of the least effective CEOs in the history of the industry. So it’s not shocking to see republican voters giving up on her so quickly. Still, her poll numbers have fallen off remarkably quickly, confirmed by multiple polls.

First came the Public Policy Polling data which said that her previous high double digit peak had dropped off to a mere six percent. By way of confirmation, the brand new Farleigh Dickinson University poll has her at seven percent. That puts Carly Fiorina firmly back into the also-ran camp from which she had originally emerged, and continues the pattern in recent Presidential elections of republican candidates coming out of nowhere to surge toward the top and then disappearing just as quickly.

I sure hope so. What a scare she was! I don't know who is the scarier liar, she or Ben Carson.

You know people aren't going to put up with lying about your life. They just aren't. We've got the "mystery" President now, so we've been there, done that.

And Ben, telling that tale about the hold up in Baltimore, an armed robber you redirected to a cashier to save your skin, and you didn't even call the Baltimore Police to report it? Did you run out of the restaurant? Is that what you did? Or did you just make up this story? You told someone you told the story in your 2006 book, but people have looked for it in your book, and ... it's not there.

I think soon, the "soothing balm" will be our dynamic, high-energy, bombastic, accomplished, never quit, never give in, negotiator who never lies, who is educated and highly trained on our economy and international relations through his education, family and life experience in business who is in this race not to improve his life, but to improve ours, who packs heat, throws a fast ball, and can balance the federal budget in his head .... Donald J Trump.

Donald J Trump who wants to stop illegal immigration, deport illegal aliens, "pause" immigration, fix this free trade treason disaster, take care of our Veterans, preserve Social Security without cuts in benefits or increases in the retirement age, and who understands that poor people can't pay both income taxes and their utility bills.

He's the deal, the real deal, and so far The Only One in the race.
