    8:16: Trump exits.

8:15: "I want you to remember this night and I want you to get out and vote. I don't care if your wife leaves you... get out and vote."

"We are going to get rid of Obamacare...it's dying. It will die in 2017."

8:11: "I'm actually a nice person, but I go wild when I see what's going on in this country," said Trump. "I love everyone in this room."

Brings up Nabsico. He talked about this in Mobile. "I don't eat Oreos, you've heard the story."

Trump believes Paris attacks could have been prevented if "good guys" had guns.

8:00: "I love Mexican people, I am going to win the Hispanic vote," Trump said.

"I believe in free trade, but I want smart trade, it's gotta be even."

7:58: Trump brought Silk and Diamond on stage to thank them. See below for the backstory.

7:50: "[Hillary Clinton] should be in jail for what she did." What she did with the emails was a disgrace.

Says Gen. Petraeus had some "bad moments," was a "nice guy" and was "destroyed."

"She shouldn't be allowed to run."

7:44: "There's an assault on the second amendment. Obama is going to do an executive order and really knock the hell out of it," Trump said. "I will un-sign that so fast."

He also spoke again about illegal immigration, reiterates that he's going to build a wall. "China, 2,000 years ago, built a wall that was 13,000 miles long. This one is 2,000 miles long. I'm going to make the Great Wall of China look not so good," said Trump.

7:40: Trump deviates from speech, points to TV cameramen. "They never move the camera from my face. They never show the crowd. It's so unfair. I'd fire his ass right now."

7:29: "We're getting rid of Common Core," Trump said.

He also spoke on Syria. ""We're funding all of these people from Syria..."

"We have no idea where they came from, maybe it's the ultimate Trojan horse." Trump said.

Says he wrote about Osama Bin Laden two years before 9/11, said he wanted him "taken out" prior to terrorist attacks.

"I'm going to build our military so strong, so powerful, we're never going to use it, hopefully," said Trump. "We're taking care of our vets, who have been poorly taken care of."

7:23: Says of polls: "Almost, since right at the beginning, we've been right at the top.

7:20: "Iran created ISIS, Hillary Clinton created ISIS, he says.

Says he doesn't plan his speeches. "It's common sense," said Trump.

"We're sick of the teleprompter guy," referring to Obama.

He also mentioned the Mobile, Alabama, rally, saying 35,000 attended. AL.com estimated attendance at that rally to be 20,000.

"7:18: Trump enters. "The incompetence in our leadership is beyond belief."

7:00: Trump isn't out yet, but "Hey Jude" is playing and people are rocking back and forth happily singing it.

6:52: A man speaks and warns attendees that this is a "peaceful rally" and said not to harm protesters. He asked that people place a sign on their head and chant "Trump" until the protester is removed by police.

6:40: The venue, the MS Coast Coliseum, is filled almost to capacity, which is 13,500. At least 10,000 people are in the building 20 minutes prior to Trump's speech.

6:29: Another person aimed to rally the crowd asked "we want someone to build the wall, right?" Thunderous applause followed. "There is only one race, and that's the human race," the black woman said. "All of our lives matter in this world."

We found out the two women speaking are the "Stump for Trump Ladies," Diamond and Silk.

6:16: Man says "there are only two kinds of things that can draw this big of a crowd, SEC football and Donald Trump." The brief speeches were preceded by a "fire Obama" chant. The national anthem is next. Trump is set to speak at 7.

    6:04:

    @CassieFambro

Capacity is 13,000. I would estimate 8,000 here so far, hour until the rally.…
    4:00 PM - 2 Jan 2016

5:54: A flyer getting passed around by a Trump rally attendee advocates for punishment of President Barack Obama and claims that Obama forged his birth certificate. It says Obama uses other names including Barry Soetoro and Soebarkah. It urges Donald Trump to retroactively abrogate Obama's terms as well as his two Supreme Court appointees.

5:30: The crowd is filling in the venue on the lower levels. The upper levels of the venue are still bare, but the event doesn't start for another 90 minutes. The atmosphere is festive.

4 p.m.: GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump will speak at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum at 7 p.m. CST in Biloxi, MS.

The campaign rally is a recurring visit to the Gulf Coast; Trump visited Mobile, Alabama back in August.

A big difference? The Secret Service is now in tow with Trump's entourage. His code name is rumored to be "mogul."

Thousands of people eagerly awaited doors to open at 4 p.m. at the coliseum; the people who arrived the earliest set up shop before 8 a.m. outside of the facility.

There are signs in almost every chair that say "Trump, Make America Great Again," and "The silent majority stands with Trump."

Several arrived with signs of their own, including one that several folks posed for a picture with that said "shoot first, ask questions later."

Many salespeople sold buttons with Trump's slogan as well as phrases such as "Bomb ISIS to Hell."

We will continue providing live-updates throughout the evening and the speech.

    BILOXI, MS (WLOX) -

Speaking to a packed Mississippi Coast Coliseum, Donald Trump made his debut campaign appearance in Mississippi Saturday night.

Trump's campaign staff said more than 13,000 tickets were requested for the event, and security estimates that just about that many attended. Trump mentioned at the beginning of his speech that there was a overflow crowd, and those who couldn't make it in were allowed to watch from the convention center next door. But Coliseum officials said that wasn't true, and the convention center was not needed, nor opened.

For almost exactly one hour, Trump touched on topics from Common Core, healthcare, Hillary Clinton's email scandal and even immigration.

"We will build the wall...we'll let people come into the country, but they will come legally," Trump noted at one point in the evening.

I watched this speech live on the local TV station's livestream. It was a great rally!! I'll find a YouTube link and post it.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCx3tSWtyFI

After Diamond and Lace, scroll the bar forward to about 42 minutes and see Trump enter and that's where he begins his speech.

Trump Pummels Media, Opponents Before Record Crowd in Mississippi

    by JEFF POOR
    2 Jan 2016

BILOXI, MS – On a chilly January evening, Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump addressed an overflowing crowd at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum – at a rally billed as the largest presidential campaign event in Mississippi history.

Trump’s wide-ranging speech touched on topics from “Trojan horse” Syrian refugees and trade deals to Common Core, the Iran nuclear deal, illegal immigration and ISIS.

He told the audience that although he has not spent the most money of the GOP candidates he will begin to spend more in order to avoid taking “any chances.” Trump, however, argued his campaign should be a model for the government to function.

“Now, I’m going to start spending quite a bit of money,” he said. “I just want to be sure. I don’t want to take any chances. I don’t want to do cheap. But until now I’ve loved it because I’ve spent the least amount of money of anybody else and have had the best results. That’s what should happen with our country.”

Detractors have suggested the real estate billionaire would fare poorly in a head-to-head match-up with Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, but Trump insisted her campaign doesn’t want that match-up.

“Just in case you have any question, the last person Hillary Clinton wants to run against is me,” he said.

Trump also argued he would be able to take on Democrats in states where they have “structural advantages” over Republican competitors.

“They do not want to run against me,” he added. “Don’t forget – Democrats have certain structural advantages in terms of getting elected. You know, you look at the different states and there are certain advantages that they have. You have to pick the right guy. I’m going to win states that they never even thought about winning.”

But, Trump managed to really fire up the crowd when he took on the media. He aimed specific fire at a CNN cameraman.

“These cameras back here right now — they will never show this crowd,” he said to cheers, going on to spend about four minutes urging the cameraman to turn the camera and show the crowd. The cameraman did not acquiesce.

Trump also attacked the media for its coverage, suggesting it was not reflective of his success in the polls.

“If I would read my press, I would say maybe I should be at nothing,” he said. “I should be like Bush and some of these guys. I should be at nothing.”

Trump further criticized the system, pointing to the dealings of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“Folks, that’s our system and I was part of the system until six months ago — I shouldn’t say this, but part of the establishment,” Trump said. “Nobody knows the system better than I did. It’s no good.”

Also making an appearance during Trump’s speech were the “Stump for Trump” Internet sensations Lynette Hardaway and Rochelle Richardson, also known as Diamond and Silk and Trump’s son Eric Trump.

The GOP front-runner warned the election may require some less-than-nice tactics because of the current threats facing the nations, which require competence.

“I tell you what, this is not going to be an election based on niceness,” he added. “This is going to be an election based on competence.”

Trump added a new element to the stump speech that he hadn’t in previous trips to the region, which was to urge his supporters to go out and participate in the vote.

“I want you to remember this night – you got to get out and vote,” Trump said. “We can’t take the chance.”
