Rowan County Rep Harry Warren and his friends are at it again. They want to give drivers permits to illegal aliens.That is great for those who hire illegal workers and an insult to North Carolina workers. It is also not too patriotic and a taxpayer ripoff to benefit those who hire illegal labor. Even in liberal Oregon, a referendum to do this went down two to one in November 2014, Buncombe County lost two Republican Representatives who sponsored this same nonsense in November, when Republicans were generally sweeping the state. They are probably still wondering why there was no grass roots conservative enthusiasm to support them. The sponsors of this new red carpet treatment for illegals ought be primaried out or we'll be looking at more Democrats in the General Assembly. They try to keep these sell outs of North Carolina workers and conservative principles under cover. They have their rationale for it, but it stinks. If you believe giving illegal aliens drivers permits will reduce crime or make your family safer, I will send you some honest statistics on the cost of inviting illegal immigration into our communities. The last thing the Republican Party needs is Republican sponsorship of bills kowtowing to special interest money to make cheap illegal labor more profitable. Republicans are supposed to be the good guys. They are supposed to serve the common interest of North Carolinians. This bill is an outrage. At least its sponsors do not represent Henderson or Transylvania county. They ought to be given a Friend of Obama Certificate and a one way ticket to Massachusetts.--Mike Scruggs

It's Official; N.C. Rep. Harry Warren (R- Rowan County) introduces a bill to give driver permits to illegal aliens in N.C.

The bill language reads, “TO ENSURE THAT CITIZENS AND LAWFULLY PRESENT ALIENS CAN TRAVEL SAFELY ON THE ROADS OF THIS STATE BY ENSURING THAT EVERY DRIVER ON THE ROADS OF THIS STATE HAS BEEN PROPERLY LICENSED OR PERMITTED.

Please feel free to contact these N.C. Representatives and tell them how you feel about their proposal.

They will tell you, "that's simply not true", BUT - keep in mind, “lawfully present aliens” INCLUDES illegal aliens that qualify under the DACA deferred deportation program. They are considered “lawfully present” even though they have no “legal status”.

Hold their feet to the fire. Don't let them get away with it!

Oh my God, this is an outrage! It must be stopped at all costs. This same nonsense that Governor Easley initiated here in 2000 or 2001, that we just got rid of a few years ago, is what brought this big wave of illegal aliens into our state to begin with.
