My husband called talk radio today bemoaning about the lack of a conservative candidate to vote for. He said that at this point he would consider voting for Nader, even though he disagrees with Nader on every single issue there is. But, he said, at least Nader is honest.

I'm probably not going to vote for Nader, but I see his point.

The next U.S. president will not be my president and will not represent me a United States citizen...again!

I will write in Teddy Roosevelt.

Look folks, don't let idealism cloud your judgment. First you need to ask yourself, what is best for my country? Not voting is simply of no value to your country. Voting for a candidate who has absolutely no chance of winning may actually be the same as throwing your vote to the WORST of the worst. Just because you may not like all of John McCains policies doesn't mean that you should cast a vote that could ultimately elect Hildabeast or even worse, Obamaniac. Is this what you want? Because this could be what you get! Frankly, the latter two would harken the beginning of the end of our country as we know it. I feel this deeply and I am sure many others do as well. Both clearly embody socialist policies. Is THAT what you want? Because, this is what you might get!

If this happens spending will go up, there will be high trade deficits, illegal immigration will increase, the war in Iraq will drag on, abortions will continue and a Democratic President would appoint liberal Supreme Court justices. Actual events indicate that the above items are happening now with a Republican White House and a Republican Congress.

It’s time that conservatives awake to the reality that political parties come and go, that they are merely political vehicles through which principles may be transported into public policy. Whenever a political party abandons the principles people believe in, it is the duty of people to abandon the party for a more reliable form of transportation.

[quote]Therefore, since the national Republican Party is obviously a broken down jalopy, it needs to be traded in for a new model, one that has the internal combustion to transport conservative principles back to Washington, D.C.â€

The problems with McCain are too numerous to detail. But he agrees with the Democrats more than he agrees with me. He has done nothing to earn my vote. McCain and his ilk are responsible for the end of my party as I knew it! It's absurd to think I should believe they'll somehow save the country.

I've studied McCain's history and he's nothing but a power hungry opportunist. We don't need Republicans if Republicans are John McCain. McCain is CFR. That's about as socialist as you can get.

I want a president who does what is best for our country, not willing to sacrifice one dime or one life trying to protect the interests of others. McCain is not that guy.

I absolutely would prefer to watch Obama be president than vote for McCain. I hope Barr or some other candidate can run a quasi campaign. I might not vote for him, but if he can derail McCain then he's done a public service.
