HONOLULU -- Federal immigrations agents raided another construction site Wednesday on Maui and arrested 22 people suspected of being illegal immigrants.

The raid happened at the Honua Kai Resort at Kaanapali, Maui.

Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agent In Charge Wayne Wills said the 22 workers put into custody for potential deportation came from several Latin American countries.

The general contractor on the project was Ledcore U.S. Pacific Construction, which has had several of its Hawaii projects raided by the federal government.

I was just talking to my friend in HI yesterday. Yes, they have IA's there too, but no where near the magnitude as the mainland for obvious reasons...

Someone recently posted an article about the Mexican Consulate will open an office in Alaska so I'd say they may head your way also.

How long does it take ICE to respond?

Mexico is building a consulate in alaska. It should be ready in a couple of months. They are looking to rent office space until them.

Hawaii? You'd think the latinos would be getting more medals at swim events in the Olympics.

Yes Alaska and Idaho are the newest.. we sure put up a good fight but now our traitor governor is working with them....He was among the governors who took the little trading trip a couple months back
