Allied Leaders,
Thank you for your previous understanding and response to our advisory not to circulate the suspicious story and photos released by Jim Gilchrist's Minuteman Project officer, Shawna Forde. After we advised you about problems with Shawna's credibility, story, and photos most groups in our movement stopped promoting her claims, except for Shawna's own group and Jim Gilchrist's Minuteman Project.
Shawna Forde is the MMP 'Border Operations Organizer' for Jim Gilchrist according to claims we found online and appears to be a member of his inner circle, along with Steve Eichler and the few other activists who remain with MMP, despite the groups beleaguered reputation and Gilchrist's continued bizarre and damaging behavior.
This e-mail is to inform you that some of our worst fears are now confirmed in the media and the damage to our movement is getting worse.
Despite new revelations that there are major problems with Shawna's story, that she is refusing to fully cooperate with police, has an extensive criminal record, has made outlandish claims in the past, proclaims she has mental illness and disorders, has made false claims to the media, etc...
Jim Gilchrist is standing by Shawna Forde and her story!
While most of our groups and leaders are working hard to screen our members and do our best to give Americans who support our cause some quality assurance, Gilchrist recruited and gave a position of authority to this woman, has promoted and circulated her claims, and continues to publicly support her, despite the escalating revelations about Shawna's current and past troubles.

If anyone knows any activist or movement supporter who is still supporting Jim Gilchrist or Minuteman Project, despite this destructive insanity exuding from MMP, please send this information to them and ask them to STOP!
The illegal immigration supporting opposition is going to have a field day with this and thanks to Jim Gilchrist's failure to either properly screen his officers or care and his continued failure to distance himself from Shawna Forde, we can all expect to hear much more about this incredible case far into the future!
We need leaders and activists who exercise discretion with their associations and endorsements and not people that willingly work with and support convicted felons, with mental disorders who won't talk to police, when someone attempts to murder the husband they are divorcing, while at the same time advocating people take assault weapons to the border!
Jim Gilchrist and Minuteman Project are facilitating a PR disaster for our movement and it needs to STOP!
All efforts to reason with Jim Gilchrist by other leaders and activists on these matters have failed to have any impact on him.
