    Whether anyone else in South Carolina wants to admit it or not, illegal immigration is a serious matter for this nation. Some agree that something needs to be done to at least alleviate the situation. This state will begin auditing small business firms to determine if they have employees who are here illegally. That’s already being done with larger firms.

    South Carolina is not the only state, of course, where illegal immigration is a concern. To help keep the situation in the proper perspective, put the emphasis on "illegal.â€
