Ruling on Ariz. voter citizenship law to be reconsidered
Ruling on Ariz. voter citizenship law to be reconsidered

PHOENIX - A federal appeals court will reconsider a ruling that struck down an Arizona law requiring people registering to vote to prove their citizenship.
The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals' order Wednesday means a larger panel of judges will reconsider a three-judge panel's ruling last October.
The October ruling said Arizona's proof of citizenship requirement conflicts with a federal law. The federal law allows voters to submit a mail-in voter registration card and swear they are citizens under penalty of perjury.
Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett says he's encouraged by Wednesday's order.
The ruling left in place a requirement that voters provide proof of identity when casting ballots. That requirement and the one for proof of citizenship were parts of a 2004 ballot measure known as Proposition 200.

Encouraging news. We need to put the word 'integrity' back into the voting system. Just letting someone check a box in good faith is ridiculous.

so, if i understand this right.
The people voted in this measure in 2004 and it has since been over turned by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
I have to be missing something because its the "will of the people" and they voted for it. why do judges get to tell registered voters that just because you voted for something. we do not have to honor the decision.
What is Next? will they start doing this in presidential races, Senate Races, U.S. House of Represenattives races? when does the stupidity stop.
