Perry: "I Don't Think You Have a Heart" If You Oppose In-State Tuition for Children of Illegal Immigrants

    Weekly Standard
    0:07 PM, Sep 22, 2011 • By JOHN MCCORMACK

During Thursday night's Republican presidential debate, Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum all took shots at Rick Perry's record on illegal immigration. Bachmann said that Texas's law allowing in-state tuition for the children of illegal immigrants acted like a "magnet" for illegal immigrants. Perry's response was forceful and personal. "I don't think you have a heart," Perry told his critics.

"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society. I think that's what Texans wanted to do. Out of 181 members of the Texas legislature when this issue came up [there were] only four dissenting votes. This was a state issue. Texas voted on it. And I still support it today."

    Sure Perry

By all means, Educate them with money we dont have, from working at jobs that arent here.
Teach them ethnic studies and to hate their fellow Americans too while you are at it.

What a complete dullard this guy is.

Please go away now Perry and DO NOT ever run for public office again. You have proven to be an idiot of the highest degree.

The Talking Heads @ FoxNews said Perry won the debate, especially on his 'moderate' solutions to illegal immigration.

Lest we forget, Rick Perry met with the nation shaping, media controlling, globalist prince Rupert Murdoch last week.

    ===============================

What I was talking about was right after the debate, the three FoxNews commentators were focusing on immigration, and that is when one of the Fox Commentators said Perry won this portion of the debate base on his 'moderate' solutions to illegal immigration. Do you see the difference?

    I have it recorded.

I didnt get to see the debate but I know what you mean. Fox is doing what the other net works have done. Pushing their views to shape the Winner in their minds only. People have woke up and see's the SCAM the networks have been doing on the American people

What maroons like Perry refuse to acknowledge is that college is NOT a basic human right! Attending college is not a requirement and these illegal aliens are NOT children! Nor is everyone entitled to a free college education.

We were FORCED to pay for their K-2 education, so there's our "heart" you moron!

Where's YOUR heart Perry, for the millions of LEGAL American kids who can't afford to even go to college?

There's not enough money to go around and you think it's OK to take away from legal residents and give to illegal alien criminals? How disgraceful and pathetic can you be?

What responsibility should illegal aliens and their supporters have to have a heart for the troubles they have brought upon US citizens? Having compassion should not be a one way street. I feel sorry for the citizens of Darfur, but we cannot bring them all here and support them.

If illegal children get a college education, what good is it? They still cannot work legally in the US.
