Border patrol finds 85 illegal aliens among tractor trailers
http://www.landlinemag.com/todays_news/ ... 108-05.htm
[quote]Federal authorities arrested 85 illegal aliens last month as they were being smuggled into the U.S., including as many as 15 Mexicans packed into the sleeper of one big rig.
According to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement news release, four tractor-trailers were stopped in a five-hour span as they prepared to enter the U.S. from Mexico at Laredo, TX, on Feb. 15.
During routine Customs and Border Patrol inspection, agents noticed suspicious activity from inside the trailers and were alerted by on-site canines. That prompted the agents to send drivers for secondary inspections.
Fifteen Mexicans were found hiding inside the first truck’s sleeper berth at 7 p.m., followed by 12 Mexicans and three Guatemalans found in the second truck’s sleeper. Before 11 p.m. agents found 32 illegal aliens locked in a truck’s trailer “with no means of escape,â€

Hi Cigar,
Were these trucks part of the armada of Mexican trucks authorized to drive anywhere within the US?
Or were they Mexican trucks that drive across, drop their loads, then then drive back for more?
What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

On Tuesday, Senator Dorgan called for the investigation by the Government Accountability Office.

If your an elected official and honestly had no idea this was going to happen then you have absolutely no business in a position of leadership in this country!
It was only a matter of time(about 20 days) until the mexican drivers discovered that hauling illegal invaders was far more lucrative than hauling pinatas and potatos.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

For those that may not know much about the trucking industry or the transportation industry, some food for thought.
A tractor trailer, semi, big truck, can hold approx. 45,000 lbs. of freight. Inside these trucks there may be 20, 30, 40, or more pallets of "goods" depending on the weight of the product. If a person was to open the doors on a truck loaded with freight from nose to back of the trailer it would be real hard to inspect, without unloading. (which would require a forklift.) One would see all of these pallets with hundreds of boxes percieved to be in there, usually shrink wrapped to prevent shifting. A thorough inspection would be inconcievible as time would hardly permit. It could very well be impossible to inspect without going to a dock with a forklift and plenty of room for the freight.
Point being, once across the border, whatever is in that trailer will not be known until it gets to wherever it is going. Very seldom do trucks get inspected along side the hwys in our country. Perhaps you have seen the U-Haul trailers being inspected along the hwys? They are easy, big trucks are another thing altogether.
Not long ago a tunnel was discovered in San Diego. A very unique tunnel. It was 8 feet tall had a concrete floor and electricity. It originated at a building in Tiajuana and ended in San Diego in a industrial building, a wharehouse. This was not for illegal immigrants. A wharehouse is where a big truck picks up freight. Once the freight is loaded on the truck, with an American driver which knows nothing about the freight, he just takes the bills and delivers the load to wherever. Chicago, Detroit, New York. From border to New York in 2 1/2 days with a team.
Just ask yourself what could fit in a tunnel 8 ft tall with concrete floors and electricity? A tunnel that goes from wharehouse to wharehouse? Has your imigination been sparked yet?
Mexico and Mexicans have proved time and time again they enjoy smuggling anything and (everything) for a buck. Mexican trucks should stay in Mexico.

Wouldn't one of those instruments that is heat seeking show people being smuggled in the back?
