advertisementPima County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three suspected border bandits who reportedly kidnapped a group of illegal entrants at gunpoint Sunday morning and threatened to hold them until their family members paid out more cash.
According to one of the entrants, a group of 17 border crossers were trekking through the desert when their guide left and didn’t return, said Deputy Dawn Hanke, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman.
At that point three armed men approached and told the border crossers they would be held against their will.
One of the illegal entrants was able to escape about 6 a.m. and run to a rest stop at Canoa Ranch Road and Interstate 19. He then got a passerby to call 911 on a cell phone, Hanke said.
Deputies from the Green Valley district responded and with Border Patrol agents searched the area. The suspects scattered and ran once spotted by authorities, Hanke said.
After an extensive search that included deputies with K-9s and the Border Patrol special response team as well as helicopters, three suspects and the border crossers were located.
No weapons were recovered, Hanke said.
Three men were booked into Pima County jail on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault.
    They were:
∫ Guadalupe Pacheco Pena, 32, of Sinaloa, Mexico.
∫ Juan Carlos Ramirez-Morales, 42, of Durango, Mexico.
∫ Fernando Parente Cruz, 35, of Sinaloa, Mexico.
The victims were interviewed and positively identified the suspects, corroborating the initial victim’s story.

It is important to note the the "Border Bandits" are Mexican Nationals. Pro illegal advocates like Congressman Raul Grijalva and his dear friend Isabel Garcia from Derechos Humanos and Jennifer Allen, Border Action Network frequently try to perpetuate the myth that Border Bandits are synonymous with Minutemen and by no means could be Mexican preying on their own.
Illegal aliens remain exempt from American laws, while they DEMAND American rights...
