• California citizens applauded for opposing Obama's 'invasion' says William Gheen

An immigration enforcement activist says American communities throughout the country need to follow the example of citizens of a Southern California city who actively confronted the arrival of Central American children who are in the U.S. illegally.

One July 1, the first convoy of buses carrying the children was turned around by residents in Murrieta, prompting a blaze of publicity that highlighted the impact of President Obama's immigration policies. The administration wanted to house the children in a facility in Murrieta – but because immigration agencies haven't done anything provocative since then, supporters think the White House is trying to minimize the visibility of the Murrieta protests.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), spoke with OneNewsNow about the incident.

"They threatened that they would pull out riot police on [the protesters] – and they didn't do it," he shares. "And probably the reason they didn't do it is because Obama knows if he puts riot police on American citizens blocking his busloads of illegal aliens who he's helping smuggle into the country, that that's going to bring attention to his invasion in a way that he doesn't want."

Gheen encourages other communities to emulate Murrieta. "If standing somewhere on an overpass or in front of a detention center or at your state capitol in front of the Mexican consulate holding an American flag and a sign for a couple of hours is too much to ask, then look in the mirror because you're the reason the country is going down," he states.

The ALIPAC spokesman also is pleased that more than 150 people held a protest against another group of Central American children being relocated to a juvenile facility in Vassar, Michigan, saying it would be an economic drain on the taxpayers.
