50 Best DEFENDERS of Jobless From Unfair Foreign-Worker Comp

    THE TRUE LABOR DAY HEROES

50 Best DEFENDERS of Jobless Workers From Unfair Foreign-Worker Competition

In the best spirit of Labor Day, these 50 Members have spent the last two years standing up for the most vulnerable of all American workers the unemployed.

Click here to see the full list. http://www.numbersusa.com/hub?action=ro ... 4574&lid=9

These 50 not only resisted major pressures to increase the flow of foreign labor, they also attempted to reduce immigration quotas (75,000 working-age immigrants every MONTH).

And they repeatedly tried to eliminate the job magnet for illegal immigration and to push the 7 million non-agricultural illegal workers out of their jobs to make room for some of the 22 million Americans who want a job but can't find one.

A lot of politicians will stand up on Labor Day and claim they are the friends of jobless Americans. But most of them have supported policies that give out more work permits to foreign workers each month than the economy is creating new jobs.

THE 50 MEMBERS OF CONGRESS ON THIS LIST ARE DIFFERENT

They put jobless Americans and their suffering families ahead of the demands of corporate lobbyists seeking cheap labor for their unpatriotic clients.

Is one of your 3 Members of Congress on this list? http://www.numbersusa.com/hub?action=ro ... 4574&lid=9

You may notice that the list is missing a few of our best friends who are retiring or are Senators who aren't up for election this year.

I decided to fill the list only with people who are asking voters to re-elect them in November.

For the next two months, it is important that we focus on the elections -- either using the occasion to persuade incumbents to improve their records and promises before the elections OR working to defeat the incumbents who consistently act against the interests of unemployed Americans.

LOTS OF COMMENTS ON OUR 'WORST' LIST

My goodness have you all made a lot of comments on my blog earlier this weekend that named the 50 Worst Deserters of Jobless Americans.

You can look at the list and join the discussion at: www.numbersusa.com/content/node/8107

The discussion is lively because so many people can't believe that their Senator or Representative isn't on the list of the 50 worst. Please note the criteria used for picking 50 Members to highlight out of more than 120 who earned F-minus grades over the last two years.

In the 14 years that we have been rating Members of Congress, I don't think we have ever had so many Members who have absolutely turned their backs on the desires of unemployed Americans to get a job. To get the "Worst" list down to 50, we had to limit it to the F-minus Members who magnified their assault on jobless Americans through leadership positions in Congress.

And this favoring high foreign labor has occurred during a time of incredible unemployment

ACTION: Please go to your Action Board and make sure you have taken all the actions made available to you there.

For example, we have a fax for you to send if one of your Members of Congress is on the WORST DESERTERS list.

And have you sent your 3 Members' NumbersUSA report cards to them?

We are getting reports from many of you that you have been sending out the link to the WORST list to all of your email list.

I hope you will also forward this email so people can see examples of politicians who put their most needy constituents ahead of their most greedy constituents who insist on foreign labor that lowers wages for all the workers.

The 50 politicians on this list were the best in immigration actions at putting the interests of the NEEDY ahead of those of the GREEDY. http://www.numbersusa.com/hub?action=ro ... 4574&lid=9

When it comes to immigration, these 50 are willing to keep their unemployed constituents out of work.

For whatever variety of reasons, these 50 elected officials favor foreign workers and the employers that hire them over the desires of their own constituents to have a job and support themselves.
I'm sure all of these 50 will be campaigning this fall about their great concern for putting their constituents back to work. Citizens can no longer allow them to perpetuate their charade.
