Alert! No deductions for hiring illegal aliens! Change the Internal Revenue Code.

While 15 million Americans are jobless, unscrupulous businesses continue to employ and hire illegal aliens. HR 3580, by Steve King (R-IA) would deny federal income tax deductions for wages and benefits paid to illegal workers. The Illegal Deduction Elimination Act (New IDEA) would help level the playing field for law-abiding employers and employees.

Along with amending the Internal Revenue Code, HR 3580 would make E-Verify permanent and authorize its use on all current and prospective employees. Employers that use E-Verify will not be punished if they mistakenly hire an illegal alien.

Bravo! I just hope this will get passed, but not with the composition of Congress today. If Pelosi gets her nose out of it...
