American Freedom Riders

Tom Tancredo is coming to Arizona and we have an opportunity to support his presidential effort, support for his demands for secure borders, and enjoy a very unique ride - all at the same time.

We have been invited and encouraged to attend a cookout/fundraiser for Congressman Tancredo hosted by Glenn Spencer at his ranch near Naco, Az. Glenn’s back fence is the Mexican border, next to the San Pedro River, and is a major illegal traffic route. Glenn’s website (www.americanpatrol.com) is the best source of current immigration news on the internet.

This is an important event because a lot of national media will attend and they must see that Tom Tancredo’s campaign against illegal immigration has strong support from the residents on the front line of this battle. We have been personally invited to bring as many riders as possible. Tom is a rider also and he sincerely appreciates our efforts and, since this is an informal cookout, everyone will get to meet him.

We will ride down to the ranch on Friday, attend the cookout, spend the night in Sierra Vista, and take the scenic route back on Saturday. We have a lot of new people interested in joining the American Freedom Riders and this will be a fun ride and a good time to get acquainted. I know it is difficult for some riders to take Friday off, but that’s when it is, so please do your best to join us. The ride details are on the flyer at www.americanfreedomriders.com

Since this event is also a fundraiser, donations of $50 are requested. However, I talked to Glenn this morning and he said that if any of our riders couldn’t afford that much they could donate $20 and he would make up the difference. This is mainly to help cover the cost of the event (we pay that much for poker runs). They really want us to show up.
