Email From Campo, CA (MMP at the Border)
Email from Campo: (edited)
Hi all. Got down here just after dark last night. It was raining
everything from cats and dogs to pigs and snakes! Cold, foggy,
miserable to be out in, but we were, us Minutemen. Ten of us hearty
souls! I burned about half a tank of gas patrolling as our only
mobile unit most of the night. Everyone else were afraid of getting
stuck, but I drove my little two wheel drive Isuzu all over the
place, all night long. Slim , K, and one of Slim's
friends not only held "the oaks" area, but actually foot patrolled
about a half mile of Border Fence line. This was in the area of
construction being done by the Corps of Engineers.(where there is NO
Fence)
I finally parked in the oaks around 1:00AM and dozed off and
on (mostly On) until about 5:00AM when I resumed mobile patrolling.
Went up to the Pacific Crest Trail Head and welcomed a couple of new
guys in, and got them orientated. Took off for breakfast about
8:00AM or so. Two ACLU cars were in around 9:00 AM or so, snooping
and doing their usual harrassment of Minutemen. A Chinese film crew
was there by then, and filmed the ACLU, and asked them the sixty-four
dollar question: What are you doing here? ACLU typical lying answer:
We're here to protect the Immigrants' rights. Chinese second
question of ACLU: How many times have the Minutemen violated their
rights? Lying ACLU answer: None that we know of. The ACLU had TWO
carloads of observers to observe what never has happened. The real
truth is: The ACLU is a spy outfit for the Mexican Reconquistas in
the area. They honk their horns and flash their lights in Az. to
warn the illegals where the MM are at. They report our positions and
strength to people like Enrique Morones and his goons. I'm
reasonably sure they aid the drug cartels in getting past our lines
at Campo.
Anyway I took the Chinese for a REAL TOUR of the Border, so
they could film missing fence, low fence, shoddy fence, holes in and
under fence, and no fence at all! I also had them film the Felix
Drug Cartel's Distribution Center, near position 141. (The outfit
that built the BIG drug tunnel from Tijuana to San Diego recently)
was flying two flags on my truck today.
I spent about two hours taking the Chinese up the line,
and I'm sure they got enough film for a good show on the Border Fence
that isn't, at Campo.
Weather is improving, and the library is closing in ten minutes, so
I'll post any particulars on Tuesday, as the Library isn't open on
Monday, and Monday is the 17Th, the day without an American, anyway.
LOL
Looking for a dry spot on the Campo Line
