A special thanks to Palm Bay Councilmember Andy Anderson who spear-headed the ordinance. He bravely presented the case for immigration sanity and faced the wrath of many. He has asked FLIMEN to distribute the following message:

Palm Bay "Unfair Business Practice" Ordinance

Concerned American and friends,

I want to thank each and every person who has supported the efforts to stop illegal labor practices in Palm Bay, Florida. Although we did not prevail though the traditional legislative process, the struggle continues. The energy and positive encouragement that has been received though hundreds of e-mails and phone calls have encourage others to continue the effort through a referendum process. I believe this type of action will spread across our great nation one city at a time. Please help those in Palm Bay to continue to fight for your rights and you values. Special Interests will be unable to stall the will of the American People to vote on issue that effect the health, safety and welfare of all citizens.

Although this particular issue was concentrated in the City of Palm Bay, the principal has influenced the entire nation. Cities such as Hazelton, PA and Avon Park, FL represent a grass roots effort to send a strong message to elected officials in State and Federal government. This issue reflects a systemic problem that I feel impinge on many issues. In a non-partisan effort, each and every American is sending the message that politics as usual will not be tolerated and the will of the ?silent majority? will be heard.

Again, my family, friends, and residents of Palm Bay thank you for standing behind us during a difficult and eye opening struggle.

Your Fellow American Citizen,
Andy Anderson
Councilmember
City of Palm Bay

Palm Bay Councilmember Ed Grier who voted for the ordinance

Palm Bay Mayor Mazziotti, Deputy Mayor Woodard and Councilmember Brooks who although voting against the ordinance handled the controversy with fairness and deliberation
