Gloria Whisenhunt - says you are lazy and living off the government!
(The board's chairwoman.) Implied that it would be difficult to find a construction company that does not hire illegal immigrants and we would never be able to build the schools, and if we could, it would cost us double what we pay now.

Forsyth County must demand that every contractor must verify the work-eligibility status of any employee. But Forsyth County has not even enrolled in the free verification program.

But that's not the first time Gloria has stuck her foot in her mouth.

?Can I do anything about illegal immigration, not much, Gloria Whisenhunt said. I talk to people that hire illegal immigrants and they tell me that they are the best workers they?ve ever had and they have a very strong work ethic.

?People say we have Americans who will take these jobs, Whisenhunt said. ?I don?t believe that because Americans are lazy, Americans are living off the government, and we pay them to stay home and have babies!
Let's see if we have this right. Gloria is saying that we (Americans) are lazy, living off the government, staying home, having babies and that illegal

aliens are the best workers and have a very strong work ethic and it is Ok if construction companies hire them. - What about the hard working citizens of Forsyth County who go to work every day and pay taxes. They just don't count in Gloria's book.
