ICE Raid in Miami.
No numbers on how many illegals were caught. I will post it once I find out. Gee I wonder if any of them were oot marching on Monday. This happened last year after the marches the ICE raids began and the illegals got scared. Maybe this year we will be luckier and some will permanently leave!

Immigration Checks At Flower Warehouse
Target: People Working Illegally In South Florida
(CBS4) MIAMI At a flower distribution warehouse on Thursday near Miami airport, the US Department Of Homeland Security and the Miami-Dade police were out looking for illegal immigrants.
People were handing over their identification cards as police were running it through computers. Even a photographer for one local news agency was asked to show his ID.
Border patrol and immigration conducted their morning roundup at the facility located at NW 70th Avenue and 18th St. All of this taking place while Washington focuses on the senate's immigration reform bill which will be up for discussion on May 14th, kicked off with Majority Leader Harry Reid.
Proposals are trying to resolve what to do about the roughly 12 million illegal immigrants already in the country and whether to legalize their status as long as they pass a background check and pay large fines.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

If we stopped them at the border, there wouldn't be a need for this cat and mouse game.

All they ended up getting was 4 people who had warrants out of their arrest. They were not ones for violent offenses. They actually made a TV camera person for one of the Hispanic TV Channels show their ID. This made the news and the local reporter which most media relations people laugh at made a big deal out of it and tried to get the ICE angry. The ICE man was cool (no pun intended) and told him to speak to media relations. Then the station went on to show the L.A. march incident and comment how bad law enforcement is to illegals. What a bunch of crap.

You better believe it! I am now contacting ICE about any place I learn of who employs illegals. It is my mission as I came here legally from Canada and it cost more to be legal than illegals pay a smuggler. In fact my daughter is so fed up with illegals and her experience in high school that she is seriously looking at working for ICE.

It really got to me, having been born and raised in Miami, to see Miami's streets over the years become littered with flower and fruit vendors, most of whom operate without a license. Being stopped at a red light, they give you this evil eye if you don't buy their flowers or their fruit. I wish they would ban street corner vendors. It really does add to Miami's reputation as a third world country.

Their are laws regarding street vendors in Miami Dade County. They can only sell with a license and the bylaw people check them out as much as possible. They can only walk by vehicles and can't harass drivers. The sad part is many of them are illegals.
