05-13-2006, 09:06 PM #2Grassroots.org believes that the United States should legally allow more foreign entrants in to the country, particularly hard workers from Mexico and Central America, who fill jobs that are not easily filled domestically. We want our friends to safely and legally enter our country, and to pay taxes; and receive necessary health and social services.
The ones who are already here illegally should become registered “guest workers" or be subject to arrest along with any new illegal entrants. This may sound like amnesty. And, conceptually, it’s not far off. Indeed, it is not fair to those waiting in line to offer past illegal entrants’ amnesty. However, given that there is no other rational solution to managing the huge number of existing illegal immigrants, the United States should move forward diligently.Americans First!

Yes, although I don't like amnesty myself, I do think massive deportations are impossible at this point.
A softer hand could be used. Allow them to work as guest workers say for five years and then "adios for good amigo".

NO GUEST WORKER PROGRAM FOR ILLEGALS.
Think man........think of the ramifications! Do you really believe that if they're given an inch that will be the end of it? Don't you think that every communist/socialist/human rights group in the world won't work to reverse their being asked to leave at a designated time? Not to mention Mexico's government? Absolutely.
That response is EXACTLY what the pres & congress are looking for. Our giving in to "reasonable" requests. What a con game. And what a slap in the face of the people attempting to come here LEGALLY.

Yes, I am for deportation also.
However, I think we have been caught with our pants down.
This has progressed so much, that to kick out tens of millions is logistically impossible and could even distabilize the nation in more ways than one!
That is why I believe that a softer approach at first is better as long as it is done methodically and eventually becomes a harsher hand.

My pants are still up :P
No, they will self-deport if there are no more employers to hire them and no more social services to coddle them and drain us.
Look at this without a "too late" attitude and it will open up more possibilities for you to think about.
Already! after only a few raids being publicized.......they're pulling up stakes and going back home!!!
So, don't fall for the brainwashing. We're all too smart for that oneJoin our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Agree, more deportations are needed.
However, don't believe they will self-deport.
If they stick around and are unemployed they will commit crimes, have rallies. organize and have possible riots!
It wont be nice. They wont head south because there is nothing there for them there...
The solution and the problem is in Mexico itself!
