The Missouri House of Representatives, Special Committee on Immigration Reform, is investigating the effects of Illegal Aliens and Illegal Immigration in Missouri.

Hearings already were held in Jefferson City, Troy, Kansas City and Joplin.

***A Hearing is being organized for St. Louis on August 9 or 10.***

For information on the St. Louis Hearing and any future Hearings, contact Rose Granich, rose.granich@house.mo.gov or call 573-751-2165

At the Legislative Breakfast held in Greenville, Missouri, on July 8, House Speaker Rod Jetton said that there are an estimated 50,000 to 75,000 Illegal Aliens agricultural workers in southeastern Missouri.

The Hearing is informal. You do not testify under oath. The Hearing is an opportunity for you to say anything you want to the officials who are investigating the Illegal Aliens situation in Missouri.

Hearing format is 15 minutes of testimony from each participant, followed by 15 minutes of questions from the officials.

If you cannot attend the Hearing, but you would like to comment on Illegal Immigration and Illegal Aliens in Missouri, you may send your testimony in written form. That avoids a lot of expensive and inconvenient travel.

You can FAX your testimony to 573-526-2577.
