Michigan GOP Adopts Anti Illegal Immigration Platform

NOVI, Mich., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan's delegates at the August 26th GOP state convention approved a resolution instructing their party to oppose illegal immigration. Approved unanimously, the resolution states that illegal aliens entering the U.S. in violation of its laws need to be efficiently and effectively halted. This resolution clearly includes border security, enforcement of laws after illegal entry by immigration officials and reducing incentives for illegal entry, such as hiring and welfare.
Exact wording of this comprehensive resolution is: Effective Immigration Reform -- "Support immigration reforms to effectively and efficiently stop immigrants from illegally entering the U.S."

"It's very clear that the majority of Michiganders are upset with the current situation -- they want our laws enforced and new laws enacted to stop illegal immigration.
