NumbersUSA Fax's triple the number of H-1B visas

    Rep. Lamar Smith
2231 Rayburn HOB, US House of Representatives
    Washington, DC 20515

    Dear Representative Smith:
Americans for Better Immigration gives you an "A+" Career Grade, so I was surprised to learn that you introduced H.R. 5642, a bill that would triple the number of H-1B visas. Your voting record indicates that you are aware of the dire consequences mass immigration has on American workers. What could have possibly convinced you that H.R. 5642 was a good idea?

I'm afraid that Microsoft and other cheap labor lobbyists are yelling so loud that you never hear from American high-tech workers who are harmed by the H-1B visa program.

If you really want to have a sincere and rationale debate about H-1B visas, you should contact top tech experts outside of big business. They can provide you with some startling documentation and statistics. For instance, only 40 percent of H-1B visa holders are employed in IT fields. Furthermore, very few H-1B workers are "highly-skilled." This information alone should give you pause before you rush to expand a program that is so rife with abuse that anyone with a computer can go on to YouTube to watch a seminar on how to avoid hiring U.S. workers in order to get more H-1B visas (i.e. cheaper workers) for your company.

This kind of thing is happening all over the country, but it seems like all we ever hear about is the lack of workers! I don't know how you can sleep at night knowing that H.R. 5642 would expand a fraud-ridden program that is used to deny opportunity to American workers.

    An American for sovereignty,
    Mr. Name Here

P.S. Are you insane, or do you just do not care that American workers are losing jobs left and right while you request triple the number of H-1B visas while you stick your fat little hands into our pockets looking for increased taxes. Not only are you an idiot for not listening to the people while you pander to the lobby groups, but you blatantly do so in front of our face in the hopes that we are not watching; but your wrong. Work on your resume, we will do everything in our power to boot you out of office during your re-election... that probably doesn't matter, you have the lobbyist's to look out after you in a job placement program... We will purge this country of corruption yet, starting with you. Corruption rules this country and you are the jester of the Kings court. In the great phrases of history "Your Fired" dumb A$$

NumbersUSA Fax's Double the amount of H1B VISAs

    Rep. Gabrielle Giffords
502 Cannon HOB, US House of Representatives
    Washington, DC 20515

    Dear Representative Giffords:
Your bill (H.R. 5630) will further discourage American students from seeking hi-tech jobs.

While higher than prevailing wage claims, the actual wages reported for H-1B workers in 2005 (the most recent data available) were significantly less than those of their American counterparts. In fact, wages for H-1B workers averaged 12,000 dollars below the median wage for U.S. workers in the same occupation and location.

The reported wages for 84 percent of H-1B workers were below the median U.S. wage - and 51 percent were in the bottom 25th percentile of U.S. wages.

These numbers do not indicate labor shortage. There is no crisis - except for American workers in these fields who have been abandoned by their government.

Advocates for increases in H-1B visas claim that the "urgency for additional H-1Bs and green cards hasn't changed." They're right: there has been and is no urgency. There is only a greedy attempt to collect as many mediocre laborers as possible at bargain prices.

    Unable to comprehend your actions,
    Mr. Name Here

P.S. NumbersUSA Fax's expand the H-1B visa program

    Sen. Judd Gregg
    SR-393, United States Senate
    Washington, DC 20510

    Dear Senator Gregg:
You have played right into the hands of corporate lobbyists. Your misguided proposal to expand the H-1B visa program shows a callous disregard for Americans who work in tech industries.

The H-1B visa program is one of the most harmful programs to American workers. It depresses wages and displaces workers in science, technology, engineering and related fields. For instance, starting salaries in high-technology fields, adjusted for inflation, have been FLAT or FALLING for the last five to seven years. This is true for workers with both bachelors’ and with post-graduate degrees.

These graduates are finding that there is little place for them in American business - not when they expect the prevailing wage, that is. Your proposal to bring in more H-1B visas is a terrible blow to the future of our students.

    Unable to comprehend your actions,

    NumbersUSA Fax's H.R. 5630 and H.R. 5642) increase H-1B visa

    Rep. Connie Mack
317 Cannon HOB, US House of Representatives
    Washington, DC 20515

    Dear Representative Mack:
I was outraged to learn about two bills (H.R. 5630 and H.R. 5642) to increase H-1B visas during our current economic downturn. This is yet another example of Congress giving greedy corporations and the cheap labor lobby whatever it wants, regardless of what happens to American workers.

I cannot begin to describe my level of anger if the House turns its attention to bills that focus on foreign worker importation like the ones introduced by Representatives Smith and Giffords, while the SAVE Act is left languishing. If you want to help the economy, secure American jobs for American workers. The last thing we need right now are more foreign workers.

Let's face the facts: the majority of H-1B visa holders possess no special skills that their American counterparts lack. They are desired because they come cheaply. The average H-1B foreign worker is paid 20 percent less than a comparably-qualified U.S. citizens.

Furthermore, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found loopholes in the H-1B program, noting that USCIS has "neither the technology nor an operational methodology" to ensure that it issues only as many H-1B visas as the law authorizes. Nothing has been done to close these loopholes, probably for the same reason nothing has been done to make workplace verification systems mandatory.

A voter is left to conclude that this Congress has little regard for middle-class America. The SAVE Act (H.R. 408 would help employers hire Americans instead of illegal aliens, yet it is struggling to even get a fair debate. On the other hand, the House has wasted no time introducing two bills to give even more American jobs to foreign workers. Please assure me that you will work to pass bills that help American workers (the SAVE Act) and oppose those that would do more harm than good (H.R. 5630 and H.R. 5642).

    Looking forward to your support,
    Mr. Name Here

P.S. lets go; get busy protecting America... or do you just do not care that American workers are losing jobs left and right while you stick your fat little hands into our pockets looking for increased taxes. NumbersUSA Fax's The Save Act

    Rep. Connie Mack
317 Cannon HOB, US House of Representatives
    Washington, DC 20515

    Dear Representative Mack:
I am sure that there are many people like myself in your district who are glad that you decided to sign the discharge petition for the SAVE Act. I'm sure the voters of our district would be even happier if you decided to cosponsor the SAVE Act!

The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), which represents more than 600,000 small businesses across the nation, has endorsed the SAVE Act, including its requirement that every employer process every new hire (and eventually old hires) through the electronic E-Verify system to ensure that illegal aliens don't get American jobs. The NFIB said the bill strikes a “fair balance between increased enforcement and limiting regulatory burdens placed on small business.â€

    Way to go AirborneSapper7..!

This is the way to get the attention of BOTH:

    ..Our Representatives/Senators..

..and for us, the USA citizens..

    ..to REALLY make a difference!

..and following up with phone calls helps a LOT also..!

PS: ..and I REALLY liked some of your post scripts..!

..I too, can really dig into some of the rather LAME ones..!

Likewise, I like how NumbersUSA hasn’t forgotten the equally, if not MORE important ‘positive reinforcement’ letters for the “good guys"

Hmm.. time for me to get busy..!
No need for ‘mass roundups’, simply ENFORCE EXISTING law*& MANDATE the worker ID, ..but SEVEN amnesties? Hmm, WHO cried wolf?!
