[b]NJCIC has launched a campaign to pass legislation that would require New Jersey employers to use the E-Verify system, which is a database of names and valid social security numbers maintained by the US federal government.

Employers who use E-Verify can make sure that, when they hire someone, they are giving a job to an American citizens or legal resident and no to an illegal immigrant.

New Jersey Senators Steven Oroho and Jeff Van Drew have introduced Senate bill S2733 in the New Jersey Senate in Trenton. This bill, if passed, would require New Jersey employers to use the E-Verify system. But this legislation is currently languishing in the Senate Labor Committee under the chairmanship of Senator Fred Madden. Sen. Madden has the power to post the bill and start the process of turning it into law but, so far, has done nothing to save New Jersey jobs for American citizens.

If you agree that New Jersey jobs should go to American citizens then sign the online petition below to Sen. Madden.

Let's put pressure on our New Jersey legislature to save New Jersey jobs for American citizens!
