I do not think that this is important the city has a day in honor of any group having a convention. It is LaRaza Day because the group is having an event which will bring money into San Diego area hotels and restaurants. It would look more peculiar if the city made an exception.

To vote for" National Council of La Raza Day" by the San Diego City Council is the most Insidious, Supercilious, Vile and Un-American action taken by those elected to serve the American Citizen.

This group represents not all Hispanic or Latino Americans nor the Immigrants Legally to this country as they want you to believe. Its sole purpose is to legalize Illegal Aliens who are in this country illegally and to change the make up of America by producing children and getting illegally gotten citizenship.

Let Mexico or some other country that has burdened our country with their nationals give them a holiday and let La Raza fight for their human rights in their countries. This is America, a country that has succeeded 200+ years without LA Raza and their distain for Americans and the American way of life. La Raza isn't an American institution nor is it a civil rights group for all legal Americans.

As a concerned citizen, I am outraged by the attempts of such racist groups as La Raza/SPLC/ADL to intimidate and harass news programs and commentators, sponsors, station Presidents in their attempts to dictate the guest list, the subjects and restrict freedom of speech.

If you want to see who is presenting themselves as the arbiter of truth with false accusations, lies, character assignations and the desire to stop free speech in the illegal immigration debate, all you have to do is go to this site. They have a letter (text prepared) to send all stations in an attempt to shut down commentators and their guests who provide the truth.

Unlike the cable news programs, the main-stream media's failure to report the truth about the illegal alien debate including: the nature of the pro-amnesty movement, reporting on the true impact amnesty will have and is having on the American citizens, the truthful use of statistics and terms.

News programs and commentators have a job to do without intimidation; untrue rhetoric, communist control and should be backed by their stations.

Janet Maguia, president of NCLR complained on the Lou Dobbs Show that the shows were reporting on the crimes of illegals, the magnitude of over the border illegal crossings and threatened to bring her complaints to the Station Presidents of CNN, FOX and MSNBC to top them from reporting

I would be quite disturbed to find out any station caved into and have been intimidated by Janet Maguia and the amnesty, open border, lawless pundits.

It's hypocritical they have a right to speech even disingenuously, while trying to infringe on the rights of others. Have you seen Ms. Maguia's credentials on America's National Interest of Law and Order? She can't even get her smears, accusations or charts right.

We have Presidents that don't have a day of celebration and should.
This is outrageous and unacceptable.

This may seem unimportant as did the other efforts years ago (that seemed minor) by La Raza and brought them to where they are today.

They claim to be a civil rights group, they get our tax money in the millions, they start charter schools and build housing all with our money (who do you think for) they try to intimidate news stations and broadcasters, they are responsible for the marches and attacks on ICE trying to do their jobs, they sat in on the authorship of the Amnesty bill and they pander and give awards (at this conference) to our elected congresspeople who are Pussy Willows.

So I find it offensive to give this group anything on anyday. Who is the next Un-American Recipient to recieve a holiday?
