Team America Endorses Dave Cuddy for Senate by Bay Buchanan
Team America Endorses Dave Cuddy for Senate
Dear Friend,
You may have heard that Alaska Republican Senator Ted Stevens was indicted last week for hiding 250,000 dollars worth of gifts from oil companies. This is bad news for Stevens, but it gives us an incredible opportunity to throw out an amnesty Republican and replace him with a patriot.
Stevens' strongest primary opponent -- former State Rep. Dave Cuddy -- was a long shot before the indictment, but now is poised to win the nomination. Dave is as solid as you can get on immigration. He will secure the borders and oppose any and all types of amnesty. He will also end chain migration and birthright citizenship, and oppose increases in foreign worker visas and the creation of the North American Union. Our friends at Numbers USA gave Cuddy a perfect rating for his positions on immigration!
In contrast, Ted Stevens is one of the worst Republicans in the Senate. It should be no surprise that who is in bed with the lobbyists and Corporate America is also a proponent of amnesty and open borders.
Stevens voted for the "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" amnesties in 2006 and 2007. He has co-sponsored the Ag Jobs amnesty with Barack Obama, Ted Kennedy, and others; and was a co-sponsor for another Kennedy bill to increase foreign worker visas. He's voted to give illegal aliens in state tuition, to keep sanctuary cities, and to protect illegals from getting charged with social security fraud.
The difference between Cuddy and Stevens is as clear as day and night.
Even if Stevens hadn't gotten in all this trouble, he was expected to lose to the presumed Democratic nominee Mark Begich. Free of all of Stevens' controversies, Cuddy will be in better shape for the General Election. A, "This might be a blessing in disguise, if we're able to replace Stevens with a credible candidate who doesn't have the burden of his baggage."
We have a number of great leaders in the House, but we only have a few dependable friends in the Senate. Dave is our best hope to get one more.
Please check out his website at www.davecuddy.com to learn more about his campaign. We cannot squander this opportunity!
Your friend,
Bay

Illegal Immigration
The freedoms and opportunities we enjoy as Americans make our nation a magnet that attracts people from all over the world.
Illegal immigration reform is vital. The best way to make our illegal immigration problem manageable is to remove the incentives to come here. Penalties on employers who hire illegal immigrants need to be increased and aggressively enforced. Employers need a way to verify if a prospective employee can legally work in the US. I would support a fence for national security and to make the Border Patrol more safe and effective.
With the citizens of the US picking up the tab for the education, health, and welfare of illegal immigrants, employers who use illegal immigrants have an unfair advantage over employers who provide a living wage, a wage that is high enough to provide medical care and property taxes to fund education, etc.
Border schools and hospitals are going bankrupt serving the demand by illegal immigrants for services. We need to consider how to prevent the use of “anchor babiesâ€
