    A Wheeling man was sentenced Wednesday to 3 years in prison after pleading guilty to charges that he molested an 11-year-old girl.

    Felipe Avila-Ayala, 29, of the 800 block of Corey Lane pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse at a hearing before Judge Thomas Fecarotta Jr. in the Rolling Meadows branch of Cook County Circuit Court.

    Prosecutors said Avila-Ayala molested the girl in his home from January until April when she reported the abuse to relatives. Avila-Ayala is an illegal immigrant, prosecutors said.
