GOP officials: Sen. Craig is considering resigning

WASHINGTON — Idaho Sen. Larry Craig is considering resigning, Republican officials said today, after days of public and private pressure stemming from his arrest in June in a police undercover operation at an airport men’s room.
Craig pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on Aug. 1, and while he has since said he did nothing wrong, the episode has roiled the Republican party and produced numerous calls for him to step down.
As a measure of the pressure Craig faces, party officials said a statement had been drafted at Republican Party headquarters calling for the third-term senator to resign. It was not issued, these officials said, in response to concerns that it might complicate quiet efforts under way to persuade the 62-year-old lawmaker to give up his seat.
Any resignation would clear the way for Gov. C.L. “Butchâ€RIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.

Wow! what a blessing in disguise for all the good folks in ID!
So if he resigns, is there going to be a huge party somewhere in ID? If so, I want to go!
I sure hope his political future is doomed.
We need to get rid of the "do as I say, not as I do" politicians.

Before we get too overjoyed, does anyone know where his potential replacements stand on the issues that concern us? Are we getting rid of a badly wounded wolf, only to replace it with a fresh one?

Good!
As soon as the Governor of Idaho appoints a replacement we need to find out the new Senators e-mail address quickly and fill it with comments like
No Shamnesty, No Dream Act, Enforce the Law, Build the Fence and No Tap Dancing or Finger Fighting in the Men’s Room Stall.

Governor Otter was on tv last night, but didn't say who he would appoint. Says he's getting a lot of calls from wannabes.
