How many times do we have to hear the "poor legal advice" story?
At least 20 million more since I'm sure its one of many in the LaRaza playbook

Felipa, mother of the bride Lourdes (age 19), gave birth to a new daughter, her anchor baby, named Flor. Flor was premature, spent three months in the neonatal incubator, and cost San Joaquin Hospital more than $300,000. Meanwhile, Lourdes plus her illegal alien husband produced their own anchor baby, Esmeralda. Grandma Felipa created a second anchor baby, Cristian. Anchor babies are valuable. A disabled anchor baby is more valuable than a healthy one. The two ... anchor babies generate $1,000 per month in public welfare funding. Flor gets $600 per month for asthma. Healthy Cristian gets $400. Cristobal and Felipa last year earned $18,000 picking fruit. Flor and Cristian were paid $12,000 for being anchor babies. This illegal alien family’s annual income tops $30,000.

I have an 18 year old grand-daughter and her parents never received any help and is still paying medical bills for open heart surgery.
She worked with the disabled and has to help them to find state assistance for them.

To cover their legal bills, they've sold many of their belongings, from furniture to shoes, in yard sales and to friends. Hazelle's medical expenses are covered by a state program that helps low-income children with chronic conditions.
Of course they are. So how much have these parasites already cost us? $1,000,000? More?

Oh, well, nothing is too good for our illegal aliens. I hate to think about what would happen to them if they tried to skip out on their lawyer's bill, though.
It's like hell vomited and the Bush administration appeared.

They will leave the sick child just like they would leave a sick pet when they get deported. They use this child to get what they want, they are as low as Alvira using Saul in the church.

In November 2004, after many twists and turns through immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals ruled they were in the United States illegally and gave them the option of leaving on their own, Haley said.

When they failed to go by the deadline, the request became a deportation order. In May 2007, a little more than a year after Hazelle's birth, they got a letter telling them to surrender to immigration authorities on June 26.
I didn't get past this. They knew they would be deported but they had an anchor baby. A sick baby used to break the law.

There's a old country song that goes something like, "God's going to get you for that".

This could be exactly why they have been denied permission to stay here...because they had the baby knowing full well there was already a deportation order.

There was an article recently....I think I may have read it here, in fact.....telling the sob story of a couple who had ignored a deportation order, had not one, but three, anchors, and were deported anyway.

Their crying to the judge about their children did no good whatsoever because they'd had those kids after ignoring a deportation order and he told them so. Their attorney commented that he wasn't shocked as the stategy is a long shot at best.... immigration and judges just aren't sympathetic in those cases.

So, we may not always hear about it in specific articles....especially if it's an article intended to garner sympathy for "poor, persecuted illegals"......but we can be assured that it happens!!!

I read this and I said, who's paying the Doctors, who's paying the hospitalization, who's paying the attorneys? The excuses these parents have is such a crock. They say she'll need a lifetime of medical assistance. It is so obvious that they expect the entire tab for everything to be picked up by anybody but them.

Michael Moore says everyone else has better health care systems than the US... maybe the baby would be safer in Mexico!

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The illegal immigrant parents of a toddler with a chromosomal abnormality were granted a one year stay in the United States, U.S. Customs and Immigration officials said Thursday.

Victor and Maria Roa, who entered the country illegally in 1990, want to stay in the United States because their daughter's condition requires specialized care she would likely not be able to get in their native Mexico. Before officials accepted their request, filed earlier this month, the Roas were under order to leave by July 26.

Immigration officials said the one-year stay was based on what ICE believed was in the best interest of this family, given their circumstances.

The Roas want their immigration case to be reopened. They also want permanent residency under a rule that allows undocumented immigrants to remain if their departure would cause extreme hardship to an American citizen.

The girl, 17-month-old Hazelle Roa, was born in the United States and has been followed by a team of physicians at the University of California, San Francisco's Medical Center. Her doctors have written letters in support of keeping her family in the United States, saying the child was unlikely to get the medical attention she needs to live a full life elsewhere.

"Her condition is essentially unique," said Stephen Wilson, medical director for the pediatric unit at UCSF, just before the toddler was checked in for the procedure. "She's really dependent on the technical intervention we're providing here. It's quite critical for her ongoing survival."

Hazelle was scheduled for an exploratory heart procedure Thursday that would seek to open up a constricted heart valve - one of the consequences of her genetic disorder - and help doctors decide whether she would need further heart surgery.

"We're hoping everything will go well," said Maria Roa, bouncing the toddler on her lap an hour before she was checked in for the procedure.
