In a word, yes, if that is what it takes to rid the U.S. of cheap, illegal labor.
This writer obviously doesn't know anything about farm produce prices.

Check out this article which proves the fallicy wrong that we need cheap illegal labor to keep food costs down.

Re: {Sob}OH: Immigration crackdown tears families apart

They were after another Maria but settled for arresting Velasquez, a pregnant mother of three who came illegally to this farming town from Mexico 15 years ago.

A week later, Velasquez, 33, sat in jail awaiting deportation while her partner, Antonio Ramos, tried to shelter their American-born children -- aged 12, 10 and 8 -- from the grim reality of a U.S. backlash against illegal immigrants.
Dropped three anchors and was deported anyway. Where there is a will, there is a way!

"The public in this country has no idea who's feeding them," said Secor, 50, as he sorted fruit at his roadside store.
I saw a program a year or so ago about orange growers who were complaining about not having people to pick them. Well, it turns out, illegal aliens aren't even doing the so-called jobs Americans won't do, because they all said they lost their workers to construction. I guess even illegals refuse to work for slave wages.

"If you don't let these people come over here you'll get food from the same place we get our oil -- overseas. Do you want them to control our food supply too?"
How would that be any different from the situation now where foriegn nationals have access to our food supply HERE?

Ramos, who came to Ohio in 1977 and works legally in the area's sprawling fields, started to cry when asked whether he will take his children to Mexico to be with their mother or split the family so they can continue their U.S. education.

"I don't know what to do," he said. "If we go, they won't know how to read or write and they'll get jobs just like me, in the dirt, in the mud, in the heat."

See, what the pro-illegal supporters never tell you is that all these illegal aliens coming over always start in slave labor jobs such as picking crops, but ALWAYS move onward and upward to better and better paying jobs (e.g. construction, landscaping, etc). That's when they start taking American's jobs.

The farmers keep losing their slave labor to better paying jobs!! So OF COURSE they keep needing more and more streams of illegals to fill the spots that the previous illegals vacated!!

Ain't that the truth? Then again, their twisted logic in terms of blaming us for "splitting up their families" is the same twisted logic surrounding their demands for free benefits, amnesty, and changing our laws to suit their criminal needs. Everytime I think of how twisted their mindset is I get chills and this includes the hispanic American traitors currently in office who continue to push amnesty and free benefits for the illegal aliens of their raza.

This really just honks me off. Why don't they go back where they came from and work and fight to build a country for their children...like we did! I'll be damned if I'll stand by and watch them steal my kids' future!!

I guess it's so much easier to come here and live off the fruit of someone else's labor...and blood. I too worked in the dirt and mud and heat...in my own country...to see to it that my children were raised well and had a decent future.

I didn't break into someone else's country and then cheat like hell from there on out to do it.

How about someone- MSM- doing a real human interest story we can relate to , like a woman who has had her life destroyed by one of these hard-working folks who raped her or a family who has had their family torn apart by a drunk illegal driver or a man who worked his butt off for a few decades to own his own business and now is being priced out by cheap illegal labor and has to scramble to make ends meet? I know that will never be on tv.
