10 illegal immigrants found on train
ARIZONA DAILY STAR
Border Patrol agents found 10 illegal immigrants aboard a Union Pacific train Wednesday night.

The group was processed and voluntarily returned to Mexico, according to a press release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Border Patrol agents located four men and six women in the train as it traveled west near Cochise, about 80 miles east of Tucson.

One of the illegal immigrants -- a young pregnant woman -- told Cochise County Sheriff's deputies it was getting extremely hot inside the box car, according to the press release.

The group made contact with a smuggler in Juarez, Mexico, near El Paso.

According to the release, the smuggler took them to a train bound for Phoenix and gave them a cell phone.

The men and women received medical evaluations before being transported to the Willcox Border Patrol Station. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in El Paso were able to identify and arrest the suspected smuggler with information obtained from the illegal immigrants.
