I can hear it now...It was the BP following them that caused the accident. That made the driver nervous and caused him to drive recklessly.

Every time I hear a story like this, this is what I think of:

We see so many tribes overrun and undermined

While their invaders dream of lands they've left behind

    Better people...better food...and better beer...

Why move around the world when Eden was so near?

Update: it has now been revised to 8 dead.

    Published: 06.08.2009

Blowout played a part in fatal rollover near Sonoita
    THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
SONOITA, — A tire blowout is believed to have caused or contributed to a rollover accident of an immigrant smuggling vehicle that killed eight people and injured several others in southern Arizona.
Police suspect the blowout was caused by the weight of the 27 people crammed inside the Ford Excursion.
Even though authorities said the blowout may have caused the wreck, investigators haven’t yet determined the official cause of Saturday’s rollover about 40 miles southeast of Tucson.
All of the vehicle’s occupants were believed to be illegal immigrants.
Four of the 19 survivors were in critical condition. Eight others were treated, released and in the custody of the Border Patrol. The conditions of the remaining survivors was unavailable.

Joy Craig said at least 22 men and women were in the vehicle. They are all believed to be undocumented aliens from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and perhaps Mexico, she said.
They are still getting through the borders

Another new update: (CAN'T copy & paste on this device, will later)

Today they charged a 22 yr old Mexican national as driver/smuggler.

They are now telling us there were 11 deaths. This is after earlier revising it from 10 to 8 deaths. Now it is 11 deaths.

DPS releases list of 11 rollover deaths
The Arizona Department of Public Safety released a list of 11 people who died June 6 in a rollover crash on Arizona 82, four miles east of Sonoita.
Out of the 11 victims, all suspected illegal immigrants, two people were from Honduras, two from Ecuador and two came from El Salvador, according to a DPS press release.
Two other victims were from Mexico and Guatemala, the press release stated.
Three people have not been identified.
There were 27 suspected illegal immigrants riding in the 2000 Ford Excursion when one of the tires failed, causing the vehicle to roll over.
The other 16 passengers suffered injuries.
One of the occupants, Oscar Garay-Mariscal, was charged in federal court with conspiracy to transport for profit resulting in death.
Garay-Mariscal, of Mexico, is suspected of being a guide for the group, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
