TUCSON, Ariz. - Eleven people in the Tucson area have been arrested for their involvement in methamphetamine and marijuana conspiracies.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says more than 50 law enforcement officers fanned out across Tucson during the bust, arresting 10 men and a woman, and seizing 27 guns, 3½ pounds of meth, more than 200 pounds of marijuana and about $10,000 in cash.

Some of those arrested face conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and others face drug trafficking charges.

DEA Special Agent in Charge Elizabeth Kempshall says the operation "dealt another blow to a ruthless drug trafficking organization that has made Tucson a primary hub of drug distribution."
