    11 more guilty pleas over December Swift plant raid


    AMARILLO, Texas Eleven more workers arrested during a 2006 illegal immigration raid at a Swift meatpacking plant in Cactus -- have pleaded guilty.

    Five people entered guilty pleas yesterday in federal court in Amarillo.

    No sentencing date was immediately set.

    Pedro Raul Acabel-Lopez and Pedro Chica-Tino pleaded guilty to falsely representing a Social Security number as their own.

    The penalty is a maximum five years in prison and a 250-thousand dollar fine.

    Nicolas Mejia-Gonzalez, Miguel De La Cruz-Lopez and Domingo Lopez-Hernandez admitted to using fraudulently obtained identity documents.

    The punishment is a maximum ten years in prison and a 250-thousand dollar fine.

    Six others pleaded guilty to misdemeanor counts. Each was sentenced to 100 days in custody.

    Eight other Swift workers earlier this month pleaded guilty to felony charges over the December 12th raid. Sentencing is pending.

    Fifty-three people were indicted in January.

    Heck, if that's the law, why is it that the Chicago "church lady" illegal, Elvira is free and not in prison for her use of fraudulent SS#/documents?
