111 illegal immigrants arrested in 2 incidents

TUCSON - U.S. Border Patrol agents say they apprehended more than 110 illegal immigrants in two separate incidents in southern Arizona.

Acting on a tip from a resident about a possible drop house, agents found 44 illegal immigrants inside two trailers Monday in east Douglas. Authorities say the 35 men, five women and four children were all from Mexico.

Also on Monday, agents apprehended 67 illegal border crossers in a remote area south of Arivaca and close to the Mexican border. The group was spotted by a mobile surveillance system.

It's simply amazing how many illegal invaders continue to breach our southern border. What's the apprenhension rate, 20-30% ? For every two or three that are caught 7 or 8 are able to breach undetected.

Why has that border not been declared a state of emergency and the appropriate forces implemented? The Border Patrol needs help.
