We're not even sure what to make of statements made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi recently to a gathering of illegal and legal immigrants. But we know the comments are troubling, to say the least. Very troubling.

Pelosi told the group that enforcement of existing immigration laws, specifically worksite raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, are "un-American. I?can't say enough, the raids must end. The raids must end."

The speaker went further.

"You are special people," she told the group, which was gathered at a church in San Francisco. "You're here on a Saturday night to take responsibility for our country's future. That makes you very, very patriotic."

Huh?

If Pelosi was talking to a group of legal immigrants, that may be acceptable. Maybe. But according to reports, the speaker knew the crowd included illegal immigrants, who, let's not forget, gained entry into this country illegally, thumbing their noses at our laws.

And now Pelosi is doing the same thing, pooh-poohing the very laws she, as Speaker of the House, should be upholding. It's embarrassing and unpatriotic.

How can the woman who is potentially one accident away from becoming president of the United States act this way? And why isn't there more media and public outcry when someone as powerful as Pelosi makes such ludicrous statements?

We've said it before and we'll repeat it now we are in no way against legal immigration. It's what helped make this country what it is today.

But we believe immigration reform cannot even begin until existing laws are first enforced. We must stop the current wave of illegal immigrants that flows across our borders on a daily basis. Then, and only then, can the United States begin to forge a better immigration policy for the future.

But when powerful politicians like Pelosi are knowingly praising illegal immigrants for taking responsibility for our country, something's seriously wrong. We're embarrassed for her, but we doubt she'll be changing her tune anytime soon. And that's the real scary part.

I find it strange that all my e-mails to her were sent back because they couldn't tell if I was a constituant in her state. If she's Speaker of the House, she should accept any comments from anyone. Hastert did. No wonder she has no clue what Americans think.....she refuses to listen to them.

The only emails she will accept are from her illegal alien constituents. Remember, this b!tch no longer represents the American people since she said it is patriotic for illegal aliens to violate our borders and sovereignty, use stolen identities to illegally obtain jobs and services, use our hospitals to receive care including chemotherapy, dialysis and organ transplants at taxpayer expense denied to Americans including veterans and not pay a dime in taxes for those services, receive in-state tuition, grants and other educational assistance also denied to US citizens struggling to pay the cost of tuition and other favors from the oval office impostor who will take care of them through the bs stimuli and bailouts. Why else would Osama Obama kill e-verify and halt all work site raids and other federal immigration and hiring law enforcement actions effectively opening the borders for more cheap labor for their union, big labor, corporate, Chamber of Commerce, Mexican government masters and expand health care for illegal aliens while trying to cut health care for veterans? We are on our own as have I have previously said and have been told to go to hell, bend over and take it up the wazoo on the way down....

This pathetic excuse of a US Representative who is not intelligent enough to hold office refuses to recognize the difference between legal and illegal, like many of her co-workers. She should be at least barred from legislation on immigration becuase of a severe conflict of interest. Lipstick on a pig.
