    Fair will encourage citizenship applications

    Fair will encourage citizenship applications
    CLAUDINE LoMONACO
    Tucson Citizen
U.S. Rep. Raúl Grijalva, D-Ariz., is holding a naturalization fair Saturday to encourage people to apply for citizenship before higher fees kick in this summer.
"Instead of encouraging people who qualify, we're putting up an additional barrier with the cost," Grijalva said. "I think that's horribly unfair."
Application fees for citizenship are set to increase from $400 to $675 in June.

The fair will take place 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday at Pima Community College Desert Vista Campus, 5901 S. Calle Cruz.
Two hundred people eligible for citizenship have registered for the fair, where volunteer lawyers will help them fill out and submit applications, said Grijalva's spokeswoman, Natalie Luna.
Legal permanent residents interested in learning more about naturalization eligibility and requirements will be able to attend workshops put on by the American Immigration Lawyers Association at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Those interested in submitting an application can get pre-screened for the event by calling Grijalva's office at 622-6788.

This is an annual event this Congressman does. He's been crying for months about the costs going up and this is how he deals with it! Beat the price increase!

Again, another major event sponsored by my Congressman for NON CITIZENS!

As I mentioned before, he also the leader in wanting "family reunification" in the U.S., not Mexico.

This "family reunification" is a lot scarier than just giving amnesty to 30 million illegal aliens. Taken at it's extreme, it could add 100 million Mexicans to our population in one fell swoop. It might make the Democrats happy, but it would sure screw up our demographics.

It truly amazes me that we can elect people to Congress who perpetuate such warped ideas.

This guy will only put Mexico first. Why should he care about the fee going up?
