O.C. CA. Congress members target illegal immigration

O.C. Congress members target illegal immigration

MANDATORY E-VERIFY: U.S. Rep. Ken Calvert is spearheading an effort to make E-Verify mandatory for all employers in the U.S. Calvert is working with Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar Smith, the Texas Republican, and all the members of the committee to introduce a mandatory E-Verify bill in both the House and the Senate in the spring.

Most of Orange County's representatives in Washington, D.C., are targeting illegal immigration during this Congressional session.

Congressmen Dana Rohrabacher, Ed Royce, Gary Miller, John Campbell and Ken Calvert plan to introduce anti-illegal immigration bills soon, according to their aides. The measures range from sending more troops to the border to doing away with birthright citizenship.

Take a look at what each representative has in the works.

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

The intent of the authors of the 14th Amendment is so clear that it's difficult to understand how we even got into the anchor baby morass.

During the ratification debates over the amendment in 1866, Sen. Lyman Trumbull of Illinois, who was chairman of the Judiciary Committee, defined the phrase: "The provision is that 'all persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens.' That means subject to the complete jurisdiction thereof. ... What do we mean by 'subject to the jurisdiction of the United States?' Not owing allegiance to anybody else. That is what it means."

Trumbull's clarification is echoed in the Oath of Allegiance which all legal immigrants must swear, to become citizens. The Oath says in part, "I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen;"

Illegals cannot convey citizenshop to their offspring, because that staus was never theirs to convey.

If the authors of the 14th Amendment knew how it is being falsely characterized by La Raza and 'Bamacrats, they would be spinning in their graves.

Every employer should be required to use E-Verify. ALL Law Enforcement need to also be allowed to detain and check anyone suspected of being here illegally.
