FRACKVILLE - Two men, one an illegal immigrant, were apprehended and a kidnapping victim was freed when the men's car was intercepted Sunday by state police along Interstate 81 near Frackville, Schuylkill County, police said.

Renaldo Raul Guardado Munguia, 29, also known as Jose Castro, and Francisco Javier Deleon, 19, also known as Francisco Ayala, remained jailed yesterday at Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail each after being arraigned before District Judge Charles Moran of Pottsville on felony kidnapping warrants issued by Virginia police.

Police found Norma Alvarez Sanchez, 36, in their vehicle during the 4:25 p.m. stop in Delano Twp. She was returned to her home in Virginia. Police said she had been kidnapped at gunpoint Sunday.

Police said Munguia was determined to be an illegal immigrant. State police from Hazleton and an interpreter from the State Correctional Institution at Frackville assisted with the apprehension.

State police at Frackville said they received a Teletype at 4:10 p.m. from police in Prince William County, Virginia, to be on the lookout for a red and maroon Chevrolet Cavalier traveling north on the interstate.

Virginia police said they had tracked cell phone calls from the vehicle to Schuylkill County. State police fanned out in patrols before finding the vehicle near mile marker 135.
